*It's a long chapter but it does show the relationship a bit more and Felix's past*
- Felix's POV -
I practically ran across the road to Kaiden and his little sister who immediately grabbed me hand instead of Kaiden's.
"What are you doing here?" He asked,
"Long story" I rolled my eyes.
"Just give me a lift back, you need to come over tomorrow so we can work on the English""Why not work on it this afternoon we me?" Kaiden asked, I tilted my head.
"Huh?"
"Come on over, you can stay over and we can spend the whole weekend on it" Kaiden said with a smile, a smile that I preferred over Lucas's demonic one.
"Uh, sure?"
Lucy squealed in delight,"Yay!" She cried giggling.
"Come on, I'll give you a ride back to your apartment so you can grab some stuff" Kaiden said as I followed him. I found out that Kaiden lived close, just a road over from where I was dumped. Last time I was here, it was dark so I couldn't really see his house. It looked like the typical American-dream house with a baby blue paint coat on the front, 2 stories and a white picket fence.
His mother, Willow, was crouched over the garden bed picking weeds and collected the tomatoes that were ready."Hey mum!" Kaiden called,
"Can Felix sleep over?""Sure but you'll be by yourself a tonight" she called back,
"Your father's at a training camp, Lucy's going over to her friends and I've got to help my sister move houses"Alone? With Kaiden? I'm swooning
"That's fine" Kaiden unlocked his car,
"Is it fine?" He asked,"Yeah sure" I answered sliding in the front seat, Lucy ran out of the house carrying a large transformers bag. Kaiden helped her in the car seat before we dropped her off at a kind lady's house who practically forced us to take a bag of freshly made chocolate chip cookies.
"She was nice" I commented nibbling on the cookies and brushing the crumbs off the seat.
"I've noticed this a few times but you like sweet stuff right?" Kaiden asked, I nodded and he laughed.
"A deadly street fight that likes chocolate" he muttered, I turned my head so he couldn't see the red tinge on my cheeks.
"Well, I never grew up with this sort of stuff" I mumbled taking another bite of the baked good.
"You never grew up with your parents baking?" He asked and I immediately regretted opening my mouth for anything except the cookie.
".... they weren't very good cooks"
I lied, he nodded."I understand that, I remember when my dad was only the Captain, he had a lot of spare time. Mum worked back then, just a secretary for a small company. She left dinner to him and he practically destroyed the kitchen. We ended up eating take out but he never stepped foot in the kitchen when mum was around" Kaiden laughed at the end of his story,
"But now he has no time since he's the chief of police" he said sadly parking his car at my apartment."... I.... no, never mind" I muttered exiting the car. Nicky still sat in the same place as always, sipping on a cup of coffee.
"Hey Felix" she said without looking up from the computer, I dashed up the stairs and gathered some clothes, stuffing them in a duffle bag along with my English book and my laptop. I dashed back down stairs,
