- Felix's POV -
I clicked my seatbelt in as Kaiden started the car. I'm not a fan of musicals but since he asked, I decided to tag along. We haven't been hanging out that much since the fair when I had my first kiss....

I spent a few nights thinking about it, brushing over my lips as I could still feel the heat of Kaiden's lips. I shook my head, clearing the thoughts and making Kaiden give me a side glance. I stared out the window watching the city landscapes soon turn to nothing, farmland. Every once in a while I'd see livestock or a farmhouse but nothing more. The town was about an 2 hours or so away, we were driving for a while. The car was filled with silence, it was comforting but had a slightly awkward undertone.

"Soo..." I trailed making Kaiden perk up to listen to me. He seems to be happy that I broke the silence.
"How's B-Ball going...?"
He snorted,

"B-Ball? Jesus Christ" he said before bursting into laughter. I felt my ears tint red as I looked back out the window.
"Aw, come on! Don't pout..." Kaiden said with a smile.

"B-Ball is going great, couch has me doing practice pretty much every afternoon" he answered
"How's the math club?"

"..... boring" I said, I figured not to tell him about Anastasia. We fell back into the silence, so far the trip hasn't been going well.

"So.... what book are you reading now?" Kaiden asked, I faced away from him embarrassed. I'll be honest, a couple of days after the kiss I bought 'Love, Simon' and I was really into it.

"Just, uh, re-reading stuff" I answered. Kaiden sighed,

"Look, I want to apologise about what happened at the carnival. I overstepped boundaries and I ruined a fun night" Kaiden said,
"I'm...." before he could say anything, a loud splutter and a bang made him jump. Smoke started oozing from under his car hood, he swore and pulled over. Unbuckling his seatbelt, he sprinted out and opened the hood. I heard him coughing and gagging.

"Goddamnit! You piece of shit!" He yelled kicking the tire, he winced as he hurt his toe. I exited the car, covering my nose from the stench of smoke.

"What's up?"

"The car has been.... glitchy for a while now. I was going to get it fixed when I got back but...." we both glanced at the engine.
"She's seemed to have died before hand"

"I'll ring a tow truck..." I sighed grabbing my phone,
"Maybe they'll be able to fix it"

"Or at least take us somewhere else" he muttered leaning against the car door. I sat on the boot, calling for a tow truck.

It was beginning to shift from day to night when the tow truck man came. He was a short man with a beer belly and a sweaty forehead. His name tag read 'Ron'. He started looking at the engine, giving us a concerned look.

"Sorry fellas, can't do nothing here"
Kaiden sighed,
"Most I can do is tow you to the nearest motel tonight. Tomorrow I can come back and get you to a mechanic"

"That would be great, thanks" Kaiden said, Ron smiled at him. He loaded Kaiden's car onto the back and we climbed into the truck. About 20 minutes later, we pulled up at a small motel on the side of the road. We climbed out,
