Chapter Fourty- Two

~ Kaiden's POV ~

After the party that was somehow organised a my house, everyone but Felix had left. We sat on the couch, watching some TV show. Felix sitting crossed legged on the floor, staring intently at the show. I however was more occupied by trying to sneakily play with his copper brown hair.
I succeeded, threading my fingers through his hair making him jump. When he turned to face me, I pretended to be interested at the TV. He fidgeted slightly, like he wanted to say something. 

Felix turned his head again, I ruffled his hair gently before he stood up, muttering something about needing the toilet. However, I felt him tug my hair back so I was looking up at him. I let out a little grunt of pain.

"Ooo~ so you like it rough huh?" I teased. Felix smirked,

"Of course, a master can only punish his slave" he cooed,

"Hang on, am I the master or am I the slave in this scenario?" I asked, slightly scared and ruining the playful teasing. Felix only smiled before walking off,
"Felix?..... Felix!?" I heard him laugh from the stairs, I turned to look at him.

"Hey, wanna go out for our first date as a couple?" I asked, he cocked his head in thought. He looked like he needed a good night. He looked dead, he smiled but it didn't reach his eyes I noticed. I also noticed the heavy and dark bags under his eyes. I knew about his nightmares, I just hoped they haven't gotten bad.

"Where?"

"Maybe to the Italian place? I heard that it is nice"

"... alright" Felix smiled, he turned away and I saw his neck with a slight tinge of red. He was embarrassed, if I could I'd get up and wrap my hands around him but then the door opened.

"FELIX" Lucy dove for him, wrapping herself around his legs with a giggle. She had just returned from an after school play date.

"Alright boys, what do you want for dinner?" My mother asked,

"We... have plans.." I said, standing up. My mother raised her eyebrow,

"Where are you going?"
I looked at Felix but he looked just as confused as my mother.

"Uh.... I have something to admit" I said, my father came downstairs rubbing his tired eyes.

"What's going on?" He asked, feeling the atmosphere of the room.

"Kaiden wants to say something" mum said, Felix picked up Lucy and placed her on his hip before coming over to me.

"I..." I didn't know how to say it. I know they've expressed very clearly that they'd be supportive at no matter what I choose but the words couldn't escape my mouth. I was freezing up, anxiety started to form. I clamped down on the handles of my crutches until my knuckles turned white. Everyone was watching me, I just couldn't say anything even though I knew I'd be safe. I was admitting to everyone, more importantly myself, that I...

"Kaiden and I are dating" Felix said with no hesitation, I opened my eyes and looked at him with surprise
"We're gay or bi... maybe pan..? Either way we like each other"
My parents looked at him with shock before my father cleared his throat,

"Uh... well, same rules as your sister. No boys behind closed doors, all doors are to remain open"
My mother smiled, scooping me up into a hug, Felix putting down Lucy who had no clue on what's going on.
