~ Kaiden's POV ~
I couldn't believe I had the courage to do that. Not only did Felix trust me enough to hug him but I kissed him. Well, more like pressed my lips against his cheek. It was a reflex, whenever I hug a girl (including Lucy) I kiss their cheek gently. I felt as though I ruined it, I'll have to explain it to him.
I don't like boys, I'm not gay, I like ass and tits, I like girls yet I felt something funny in my stomach after the encounter with Felix. Something warm and tingling, making me feel funny. I jumped when Braydon clapped me on my back,
"Dude, there's a winners party by the lake! You in?" He asked with excitement. He poked my cheek,
"Why are you red? Too much work?" I shook his hand away,
"Yeah, I'll be there soon" I muttered making my way to my mother and Lucy.
"Hey Kaiden" she called, practically bouncing in her shoes.
"Awesome playing!" My mother was into sports, you don't want to be around when the Olympics are on. She was the one who signed me up for basketball back in middle school.
"Is it alright if I go to a party?" I asked with puppy dog eyes. She sighed,
"No drunk driving, no noise complaints and be safe" she reminded shaking a finger at me.
"I don't want to see you driven home by your father in a cop car again"
I winced remembering that punishment.
"Be back before 1" she said sternly, I nodded.
Giving my mother and Lucy one last hug, I jogged back to my car with the flood of people escaping the gym. I felt people clap me on the back and whoop in joy as I went through. When I arrived at my car, I saw Skye sitting on the hood reapplying her lipstick.
"What do you want?" I asked she smiled.
"I got a lift here from Tanisha but she's not going to the party and I wanted to go" she answered sliding off the car. She was still dressed in her cheerleader uniform, Pom-poms at her side.
"What about Braydon? Or another one of your friends?" I asked, unlocking the car.
"They've all carpooled together so there's no room for me" she replied sliding into the passenger seat. I sighed, rubbing the back of my neck before getting into the driver's seat. The ride was relativity silent until she spoke up,
"Why don't you like me anymore?" she asked looking at me sideways. I raised my eyebrow,
"People change" I stated,
"I don't want to be in a relationship with you or fuck you anymore"
"Why?" she asked as her voice cracked, I huffed.
"You need to go and live your life the way you want to, not society"
"I want my life with you!" she turned to face me and I saw her tear stained cheeks.
"I have loved you since freshman year! I know you haven't changed" She said as I pulled into the car park closest to the lake.
"I haven't changed, but you have," I said shutting the car door behind me. I didn't hear her run after me, I let out my breath. I have known Skye since freshman year,
It was raining so much everyone looked like drowned rats. Being a freshman, I awed at the seniors but kept my distance as they did frighten me. I couldn't wait until I was in my last year of high school. My thoughts were too preoccupied with my future that I ran into a girl. Her frail body tumbled to the ground and a crack was heard. Turns out I broke her wrist, I still remember freaking out in the ambulance while she remained calm. The doctors had a good laugh about it. We dated for a while after that but drifted apart, especially because she wanted sex with anyone that could be used to get her way. I dumped her after a while, only using her for sex but soon stoped that because I grew up.
