"who are you" hayden said to the person at the door.

"oh, you don't remember me? in brennan. annies ex boyfriend, and the dude who knocked you out." him and his friend chuckled.

without hesitation, hayden punched him.

well, what do you expect.

"hayden come on man," i said tiredly.

"oh be quiet you know i can't help it julianna."

...

it was 6:45, and i was getting ready to go on my second, or shall i say recreating my first date with hayden.

"annie are you ready?"

"are you kidding me? i just started!"

"it's okay, take as much time as you need,"

the emotions flood back.

of course i still loved him, but he was different now.

but not for long right?

i just want the old hayden back.

...

fifteen minutes later and i was done getting ready, and hayden was sitting there on his phone.

he took a picture of me.

"aww, this is so going on instagram. you're so beautiful."

that word.

i rolled my eyes slightly and smiled, yet also blushing as he grabbed my hand.

"ready to go?" he asked me warmly.

"of course," i said opening our dorm room door.

...

"wait i remember something." hayden said looking at me.

"your favorite flavor is chocolate." he said confidently.

"that's right hayden, how did you remember?" i asked him.

"i don't know,"

i grabbed my cup and started to fill it with my favorite, chocolate.

he also grabbed chocolate and then we topped it.

"you always get chocolate toppings, brownie bites, oreos, hot fudge, it's all chocolate!" he laughed, making me giggle and blush.

"yeah, i love chocolate." i said putting my cup on the scale.

"i got it," he said pulling out his wallet.

i didn't want to argue, and i didn't argue.

"fine hayden," i sighed as he paid and then i took my cup.

i scooped in the cup getting a spoonful of everything, and i ate it.

"chocolate is the best, you can't get anything better in life." i said to him.

"well i'd like to think i'm pretty good too i mean what about me?" hayden asked sadly.

"yes, you also." i said laughing.

...

we finished our ice cream and began to head out.

"hayden, thanks for tonight. i know you may not remember us but-"

"annie?" he asked cutting me off.

"yeah?"

"if there's one thing i remember, it's that i love you and i never stopped loving you. i remember everything clear again now."

hayden remembers everything again!
