the contact said ex girlfriend.

i was furious, and of course he walked in.

"hey annie how are you?"

"are you cheating on me? why is your ex texting you?" i asked madly while holding out his phone.

"annie it's not what you think she keeps texting me and i'm trying-"

i cut him off. "save it. i'm going to another dorm, and you better not try and find me.

i opened the door and immediately slammed it, only to get a glimpse of his heartbroken face.

i didn't even care what he had to say.

all i knew was i was running.

to jayden and kenzie's dorm.

i knocked on the door and immediately screamed, "KENZIE, JAYDEN"

and they flung open the door.

"oh my god, what happened?" they said together noticing i was in tears.

"he- he's cheating, his ex texted him."

"now annie you didn't see the text how do you know he's cheating when you didn't see the conversation?" kenzie said.

"yeah, did you let him explain annie?" jayden said chiming in.

"...no, he was trying to but then i marched out of there. i couldn't stand to look at him." i replied sadly.

seconds before jayden could talk again i heard kenzie's phone chiming in the background.

"incoming facetime from hayden." she said.

"everyone be quiet when she's answers." jayden said.

-facetime conversation-

hayden: kenzie

kenzie: what hayden

hayden: are you with annie?

kenzie: no... why?

hayden: we need to talk.

kenzie: okay what.

hayden: my ex started texting me last week saying she was here and she's seen me around and how much she missed me and wanted to get back together and i told her i have a girlfriend and i -

kenzie: you what hayden?

i grasped my breath. what was he going to say?

hayden: a-and i love her

oh my god.

hayden: and she left me alone for two days and just now she started texting me again. annie saw that and she ran out.

kenzie: oh gosh where is she?

hayden: i don't know but i swear i wasn't cheating on her i have proof kenzie do you believe me i can send you the conversation?

kenzie: sure whatever hayden. i'll call you back after you sent it and i read it.

hayden: okay thanks kenzie. bye.

he hung up and kenzie and jayden both were looking at me, half excited half nervous.

"he loves me," i said.

"yeah, he really does. it sounded really genuine." jayden said back.

kenzie's phone dinged as she was getting the pictures from hayden.

i ran over but she told me she wanted to examine them first to see if he's lying or not or if they are fake texts.

"nah annie these are real. he's not cheating. he admitted to having a girlfriend and that he's in love with you."

"oh my god. i'm so stupid" i facepalmed.

"it's fine it's fine, just apologize to him." jayden and kenzie said.

but that was going to be a lot harder than i thought.

i'm so sorry this was a sad beginning to the chapter i'm sorry you had to read that it'll all be okay in the end but you know the drama is just beginning...
