You squirm around while biting your lip to muffle out your cries. As you tossed and turned around the bed, eyes squeezed shut, beads of sweat ran down from your forehead to your face.
Your vision was blurry for everything seemed to happen so fast. The tree was getting closer and your father had lost control of the wheel. With yourself on the backseat, you watched the scene unfold in front of you. You didn't know what was happening but your heart was pounding really loudly in your chest. It hurt, like it was a warning for you. You tried to reach out for your parents for help, but your mother had clung herself to your father's arm as she screamed on the top of her lungs. You wanted to cry, you wanted to shout for them, you wanted to hear them whisper that everything was going to be alright.
"Mama! Papa!" You cry, clutching the part of your shirt where your heart was located. It felt like it was being torn and shattered into millions of pieces. You tightened your grip on it, no matter how your nails were painfully digging into your skin.
Your head was spinning and you could barely keep your thoughts in place.
"Wait.." Before you could cry out their names, the tree came to a close and crash!
" --- NO!" You shout, abruptly sitting up in surprise. Your heart was beating so fast that your eardrums were thumping as well. Noticing how you had your arm stretched out to grab the two people in your dream, you lower it down and plop back to your bed. Once you had calmed your ragged breathing, you close your eyes, letting the silence surround you and your steady heartbeat.
"That nightmare again.." You breathe out, your eyebrows furrowed in annoyance.
Checking the time with a sigh, you get up and wipe the tears off your cheeks.
4:01 AM
It was still early, and you didn't have to do much - but today was your flight to San Fransokyo. You might as well pack your bags.
With a sigh, you reluctantly sat up while peering around your small room. This was the place where you mostly grew up on, where you shared so many happy memories with your parents.. Would it be worth it to leave this place?
"I wish you were here.." You mutter to yourself while looking down at your lap. A tear slipped from your eye until they were just dropping to your lap one by one. You didn't care, you were numb, yet, you didn't dare to let out a sound. You were silently crying, and it was so hard to keep quiet from the emotional blow you got from this early in the morning.
You saw as the lights were turned on from outside your room and you quickly wipe your tears away at once, just in time when the door slowly opened.
"(Y/n)?" A whisper lingered into your ears. You could hear them clearly by how quiet the house was.
Not trusting your voice, you were sure that you would let out a stutter or crack your voice when you open your mouth, so you let out a hum, looking at the person over your curtain of hairs.
"You need to pack your bags sweetie, we leave at 6. Traffic would be very bad this morning." The soft voice continued, their eyes looking over your slouching figure.
You could only nod as your response and stood up to open your closet. "Don't worry," Finally speaking, you turn to face the person by the door with a forced smile.
"I'll do it as quick as I can, Mom."
