Hiro was wondering to why you were ignoring him. It wasn't like he did something bad to you nor bad mouthed you. But it was also odd to see him actually CARE on what you thought about him.
It made him annoyed and frustrated in seeing that you didn't utter a word while he was around. Let alone let your presence be there when he came by. You always turned away to walk off or just simply ignored him when he called your surname.
Hiro stared at your figure as you passed by. Your eyes flicker towards the prodigy boy for a moment before you look ahead and continue walking. Hiro puffed his cheeks, already irritated that you didn't put an ounce of your attention on him.
But why did he care about you?
This was absurd.
Time had passed quickly during the day, and it was one of those days where you couldn't sleep. 2 AM, the time read, and you put on your sneakers to go out.
Shuffling to get your jacket, you spot Daisuke roll towards you. "Where are you going? It's late!!"
"Do I look like I don't know that?" You reply sassily, glaring at him. "I'm going for a walk."
"At this time of the day? You have school tomorrow!"
"Daisuke, stop stating the obvious."
The robot companion rolled his eyes and shook his metallic head. "Alright, fine. As long as I come with you to make sure you wouldn't go off and get lost."
With your shrug, he got his answer and started flying beside you. The two of you go out and walk around the streets. Everything was in eerie silence yet the lights of the streets made you feel calm.
"Why are you exactly taking a walk at this time of the day?" Daisuke questioned, turning his head to you with a curious stare.
"It helps me calm down." You admit softly in a whisper. "It always has been. Walking in the streets helps me cope with my loneliness. It makes me.. forget about my nightmares and troubles. Just a simple walk by myself has been a hobby."
"Oh," The robot didn't know what to say. All he knew it was best to keep quiet. After all, he decided to join you only to make sure you wouldn't do anything stupid while you were out. But then again, he didn't know much of you, so he was sure you were responsible enough to be left alone.
"Do you see anyone around here?" Your voice casually asked, your hands shoved into your jacket as you puffed out a breath. As it turned white within your vision, you stared at it until it faded away. Maybe winter was coming soon.
"Y - You mean the update that you gave me?"
Your eyes flicker over to Daisuke and he laughed nervously. "Uh, yeah the chip.. no, I don't see anyone on this street. And that's a good thing. We wouldn't want to have you kidnapped at this time of the day, hehe.."
"Pffft." You roll your eyes. For a robot, he tried to crack jokes yet could never make you laugh at how cheesy they sounded.
"It's good how your monitor and sensors are working." Staring ahead, you turned left to go across your street. "The facial scans and information should do great as well. People's identity now-a-days are a must to find out. Especially how crimes are hitting faster than a tsunami."
"You do know that your update is an important feature for you, right? You're more useful now than before on just being a cleaning robot." You snicker, yet Daisuke's reaction was the opposite of what you were expecting. He looked... happy.
"Thank you! That's definitely a compliment!" He smiled, floating in twirls and spins. You blink at him, confused, but shrug it off. It looked nice seeing him happy at something that you did rather than being a nervous wreck around you.
