The beach day incident was something that you didn't expect would let your rivalry with Hiro cease down. At first, it was suspicious. For days, at some unknown reason to you, he had calmed down with the snarky nicknames. You proceeded to call him shortcake to annoy him. But it seemed that he didn't mind. It looked like he was actually enjoying the nickname that you gave him.
Then, he would randomly greet you that normal "ohayo" every morning when you two see each other. On most days, he would just raise his hand to acknowledge you, but usually, it was always a "morning" greeting.
He wasn't fond of smiling before. Still not, but he was fairly open with his feelings now. He would never hesitate to show people how he truly felt, wether he'd be annoyed, blunt or happy. You took note of his every single action.
You would be lying if you said that you liked the new change.
No. It actually creeped you out. Hiro, the almighty Hiro Hamada that had a big ass cocky brain, was actually WARMING UP to you. It was unbelievable, and you couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic or not.
But you were pretty sure that you were scared of him now. Especially when he would randomly give you those bright smiles where he'd show his tooth gap. It seemed really genuine and it scared you to bits to experience such kindness from a person who was such an ass to you before.
What is going on inside of Hiro's brain?

It had been four months since your first day on SFIT. You've had your fair share of problems here and there. Loads of homework and lots of cramming.
Undeniably, you were exhausted to the bone.
Weeks and weeks, all full of tiredness. But even so, your life was getting better. It was actually nice to have some spice in your life. You had a robot to keep you company most of the time-- an actual friend who knew you well. A cat that showed you affection and gave you cuddles. A group of college friends who were extremely nice and helpful. They were also the alter-egos of the most famous superheroes of the city. Regarding that subject, you dropped all of the things that had to do with wanting to be able to crack their identities. Even if you did get a word out of them, it would feel like you betrayed them. Your life with them was as simple and moderate as you liked it. You would never want to encounter any burdening problems with them -- especially when they took you in as a friend in an instant.
Your infatuation for the older Hamada slowly went goodbye as days passed by. He couldn't get why you avoided him when he was around, but the others had always reassured him that you were just busy.
Being away from him helped you clear your mind.
For now, you could hold a simple conversation with Tadashi without getting all squirmy and flustered. You agreed that he was indeed a nice guy, but Honey Lemon deserved him much better than you did, and you liked it that way.
Lunch time came by and the bell rang loudly in the hallways. Numerous doors slid open and the sound of heavy footsteps rushing towards the cafeteria rang in your ears. You wince at how loud they were and look down at your notes.
The institute offered only half an hour for lunch. For most students, it was enough for short naps, completing assignments or spending time with your significant other.
A lot could happen at lunch time. Everything was unpredictable.
You drop your bag beside your study table and smile at Daisuke. He was quietly cleaning your lab with that noisy copter of his. Upon noticing your good mood, he smiled back and waved at you as you slowly slid the door shut.
