I guess it just shows that Fate likes to mess you up. Make you happy, then take all that happiness away from you. You work to get it back, even if it wasn't like before, and then she throws you a curveball. A plot twist. A twist of fate. And suddenl...
Soooooo.... This story has literally been the biggest whirlwind-both the writing process and the plot. I just thought I'd give ya'll a little insight as to what the creation of this story has been all about! 😘😘

Initially, Another Twist of Fate was supposed to be the new sequel. I had plans, ideas, characters-essentially everything:

.....except how to freaking start it.
I had started editing A Twist of Fate in late June/early July (and realized how much of an overhaul it desperately needed). When I finally finished in early August, I knew I needed a sequel. Because (a) I had to show that Mitch wasn't really dead, and (b) it ended on a huge cliffhanger that needed explanations (and the loose ends needed to be tied-up).
It took me over two weeks to try and figure out how to write the damn sequel. I didn't know how much time had passed in the story, what exactly was going to happen, how much the characters' personalities had changed since Mitch died and in the last x months/years.
It got to the point where I actually had to start writing things down in a notebook (see above), which I've never done before... and then this:

Needless to say, I still couldn't figure it out (see Extras #3 for all of my failed attempts).
So, I decided to take another route: What if I just made A Twist of Fate longer?
That, of course, was a possibility. But I also didn't want it to just be like, "Oh, by the way, Mitch is dead," and then a couple chapters later: "Hey! Just kidding! Now Scott is!"
.......
But I was lowkey desperate, because, honestly, this story is my pride and joy. So, A Twist of Fate: Part One and A Twist of Fate: Part Two (named Another Twist of Fate)? Will do!
And, so, ladies and gentlemen: that's where the following cover was born, after combining elements of the two A Twist of Fate covers.

And, honestly, though I still think having a separate book as a sequel would have added to the emotion/suspense, I'm sooooo happy with how Parts One and Two ended up, regardless! ☺️
(Remember how I said the writing process was such a whirlwind?)
