FLU SHOTS DO NOT GIVE YOU THE FLU

There are two types of flu vaccinations: one with a dead, inactive flu virus that is literally dead and cannot be brought back to life magically to give you the flu, and one without. The former includes the very very dead virus so that it can deactivate any possible other viruses that are already inside of you. It cannot give you the flu, because, as I may have mentioned before, it is dead. Very dead. It literally cannot get any more dead.

Whiny voice from back of crowd: But when I got my flu shot last year, I still got the fluuuuuu!

Well, that's because you waited too long to get your flu shot, my friend. If you still get sick after you have gotten your flu shot, then that's because the flu virus was already active when you got it, and it was too late. Either that, or it's just a really weird strand of flu that there isn't a shot for anyways. You'll just have to wait it out there, buddy. Tough luck.

In conclusion, flu shots do not give you the flu, so don't be that whiny know-it-all brat that makes my mother, a pharmacist who has been giving out flu shots for years now, want to bang her head repeatedly against a wall. Don't do it.
