A/N-Hello guys! What A Catch got deleted, so here's my brand new fanfic! This will also be told in POV style
---Electra's POV---
It was raining. Once again. All you ever get in Chicago. Lousy city.
It was the first day back of school. 12th grade here I come. Yay. That was sarcasm if you didn't know. I didn't care much for school.
The bus was late, once again. I sat on the concrete steps that were outside my dad's apartment. My black hoodie was soaked already after being outside for no more than five minutes. My combat boots had little puddles inside of them. Goddamn rain.
I got multiple odd looks from people walking past. Snooty old people with their colorful umbrellas and raincoats.
The yellow school bus emerged around the corner. I stood up and jumped the last remaining steps. My ass was soaking, but hey, that's life.
The bus stopped right in front of me and I got on. Ugh. It was full with everyone I hate. The typical high school jocks and prissy girls dominated the back of the bus, throwing things at one another. There were a few empty seats. One next to a girl who had bleach blonde hair. Nah. I'll pass on that. One was next to a boy who had a crush on me last year. Passssssss. There was an empty seat. No one in it. There. That's good.
I sat down and plugged in my headphones. Ah Nirvana. Such a shame Kurt died.
The bus ride was quiet and peaceful, although we were five minutes late for school. I headed into the entrance hall out of the stupid rain. My zip up hoodie had gotten so wet that the material was thin. Surprised it hadn't sunk through to my Misfits shirt.
I swung my black backpack off my back and opened it quickly. I took out my schedule. First period: Science. Oh yay. More sarcasm.
I made my way down to the science block, room two. I stood outside the door and sighed deeply. Here goes. I opened the door slowly. Yep. Exactly what I expected.
All the students that were annoyingly my classmates for this year were, like the jocks on the bus, throwing balls of paper at each other. Jesus Christ. I'm glad I had my glasses on to protect my eyes.
I took my new found place at the back of the class at an empty lab station. I looked around the room and found no one I liked. There were some people that I remembered from last year. Toby Oliver was one. A strangely attractive popular kid who had a nerdy side. He was actually quite cute. I see he'd got a haircut. Nice. Suits him.
The teacher walked in from the door holding a brown briefcase and a cup of coffee. He stumbled in. His head was almost bald and he had a gross moustache. He situated his self at the front of the class, placed his briefcase and coffee cup down at the desk, and took a pen out. He began writing his name on the dry-wipe board. Oh how cliché. He wrote out 'Mr. Sanders.' Oh yeah. Mr. Sanders. I had him last year for science too. Huh. He sure had lost a lot of hair over the summer.
"CLASS!" Mr. Sanders erupted. The class broke off into silence immediately and everyone sat down. He's gonna be good. "Right. Thank you. For those I did not teach last year, I am Mr. Sanders. And you are all my lab-rats." He joked.
As he was about to continue, the door opened. A short, chubby boy walked in. He was wearing half-rimmed glasses and a black baseball hat. His dirty blonde hair stuck out slightly from the bottom and his sideburns the same color ringed his cheeks. The boy was wearing black jeans, not exactly skinny but not baggy, a pale blue t-shirt and a grey zip hoodie that was undone. In all fairness, he was kinda cute.
Mr. Sanders sighed loudly and leaned on the desk with his hands. "Why are you late, boy?" He said, annoyed.
The boy froze. He looked terrified. He pulled at the strap on his backpack and looked at Mr. Sanders. "Um, I'm new here, sir... And I couldn't find the science block. But I'm here now." He stuttered quietly.
