I woke up.

The room was dark, spare for the tiny amount of light leaking from the sides of the closed curtains.

I tried to sit up, but failing miserably as I learnt that my hands and feet were bound together with rope. I was in the corner of the room, with my hands in front of me, my legs twined behind, slumped on my side against the cold hard-wood floor. A searing pain shot through my head. What was that?! As soon as my eyes adjusted to the room more, I could feel a warm fluid leak into my mouth. Blood. From my nose. My head was pounding, throbbing at my temples and the back of my head. Why would he do this?

I heard heavy, clunky footsteps against the floor. A pair of black boots with metal ornaments came into my sight. I didn't want to, but, I looked up. He looked even more evil than he had done before. He flashed me a toothy smile, as if everything was normal and I was fine.

"You're awake, finally." He chuckled lightly. Lee stepped away from me and went to the corner of the room. He poured a copper colored liquid into a small glass and downed it in one. He let out a satisfied sound. "Funny. I thought my cousin- your girlfriend- would've come to your rescue by now. Not that she is your girlfriend anymore."

Electra will always be mine.

"But then again, how could she have? She doesn't know where I am. Sure, I told her that I was going to Iowa, but she couldn't have linked that to now. See, my dearest cousin isn't the smartest. Yes, she's school smart, but she isn't common sense smart." Lee stepped closer to me again. He crouched in front of me and grabbed my chin with his dirty hand. "She will not be coming to save you."

Mad cackles filled the room. Stupid, insane.

"Though, I don't like that nosebleed of yours, courtesy of yours truly. But no, it's quite nasty." He took a small tissue from the table beside me and wiped the blood. "You'll be okay."

But I won't be okay.

I just won't be okay without Electra.

"Talk to me!" He yelled. "The silence is killing me. What do you do for fun?"

Bang your cousin.

"I... I'm in a band. I play music."

"Music? What kind?"

"Just... Y'know, like, pop punk."

"Pop punk? Like blink- 182? and New Found Glory and My Chemical Romance?"

"Yeah. Like blink and New Found Glory and My Chem."

"Are you any good? Your band?"

"I... I don't know." I only realised then that my voice was incredibly croaky and groggy.

Lee sighed loudly. He sat on the floor with his knees against his chest. "D'you know what I do for a living?" He asked me. I shook my head, well, as best as I could. "I always wanted to go to college and study law. Don't ask why, I just did. But I found a little something called alcohol and another thing called drugs. They spoiled my dream. I wanted to stop. Of course I did. I hated how whenever I would go and visit my cousins, high and wasted, they were afraid, Electra more so. She didn't know who I was anymore, and to be frank, I didn't either. My mom kicked me out of the house and I left Illinois. I went around America, and even Europe, just stealing things from houses. I'm a thief, Patrick. A thief. I get a kick out of stealing things people love." This was an odd sensitive side for a psycho.

"Is it really necessary that I'm tied up? And that you beat me?" I asked him in a quiet voice.

"Nah. That's just for my own fun."
