*oops. The first part of this will be told in trick's POV again*

(May 13)

I could feel the sun evading the room. Slowly starting to warm up my skin. The sunlight felt weak but still warm. That's May for you. I turned my head to see my beautiful angel. The birthday girl, in fact. She was nestled into my side, my arm wrapped around her. Thankfully we were both fully clothed. I had refused her last night, multiple times.

May 13. Electra's birthday. Her seventeenth birthday. Legal to drive. That's about it. But she's so excited. It's the first birthday with me. I know she won't be that thrilled about the Green Day album I got her. Or maybe she would be.

In all, I got her
•Dookie
•A new pair of combat boots she'd been bugging me about for ages
•The song I had been working on (although she'd already read it yesterday)
• And whatever she wanted me to do.

I think she'd be happy with that. Maybe.

I pulled my arm from around her and stood up. I looked down at my clothes. Boxer shorts and a black t-shirt. Yeah, just throw on your jeans Trick.

I threw on my jeans and walked downstairs. I made my way into the kitchen, where Electra's mom was already sat.

I looked to the steel clock hanging from the white wall. It read as Ten Past Six. Why was Mrs. Nero up so early?

Mrs. Nero noticed my arrival. She smiled and drew me into a hug. She really liked me.

"Patrick! Hey. Good morning honey!" She greeted, pulling away from me. "I was thinking we could do El a breakfast in bed? I'd make it and you'd give it to her?"

I nodded. That seemed a good idea. "Yeah sure."

Mrs. Nero hopped along to the glossy grey refrigerator and opened it. She pulled out eggs, bacon, sausages, orange juice and a ready made cupcake. She went ahead preparing the breakfast.

"Mrs. Nero, I'll help you if you want you know." I offered.

She spun around and smiled. "Well, can you make pancakes?"

Can I make pancakes? Of course I can make pancakes. Probably the only thing I can make.

I nodded, which only greatened the smile on the ageing woman. Ageing yet still beautiful. "Great. You know how to, so get on with it! Move it!"

We both prepared the breakfast together. We spoke about Electra's and my relationship.

"So, you really like El?" Mrs. Nero asked, flipping an egg.

I smiled from the pancake mix. "I really do. She's great. And beautiful. Don't forget the beautiful."

She smiled again. Such a happy person. "She's been unhappy for quite some time now." She informed. "But ever since you came along in September, her whole life has changed. Have you noticed this? Well, you wouldn't. You didn't know her before."

But I did notice. If I wasn't with Sparky, everyone would say how sad she'd be. But then as soon as I text her, a smile morphs upon that punk rock face of hers and it's like a totally different person.

I, once again, just nodded. "I actually have. I make her happy and she makes me happy. I guess that's what a good relationship consists of."

"You're right, honey. The way her eyes sparkle when she talks about you or if you're with her, it's just amazing. And I know that sounds crappy, but it's true." She said.

Aw. That's cute. Adorable. Gorgeous.

My cheeks flushed red.

"That's super cute..." I muttered.
