To say I cried was an understatement. Patrick gave up his own life to save mine and our friends. I hate Lee. I hate him so bad. I used to think he was my amazing cousin who had the coolest life ever and just had a little manic depression. Turns out that the bipolar turned him into a psychotic murderous creep.
I was curled up on the couch, bawling my eyes out. Bernadette had wrapped her arms around me, trying to console me. Consoling didn't help.
I'd just lost the love of my life to my insane cousin.
Pete was slumped against the wall, tears fell down his eyes. He only knew Patrick for about two days and Joe only knowing him for about a week. But that just proves how much of impact Patrick puts on someone's life.
It was completely dark outside. We couldn't see anything out of the small window which I now hate.
Everything was going great between Patrick and I. He fixed me. He made my life better. I gave everything to him; my virginity, my trust, my love. And I knew that he gave everything to me too. Whenever he smiled, I would smile too. When he laughed, I would laugh too. If he cried, I would cry too.
Patrick was my love. He was the only person to never to judge me for what I did to myself. He supported me. He took me to New Jersey and Las Vegas so that I could fulfil dreams that would never come true without him. He was like an angel. He came into my life, did what was right and good for me and then had to be taken away.
I don't think he'll die though. Despite what you'd think about him, he's tough. He's brave. Lee will do his worst with Patrick and he'll come out alive. He'd probably be back in about half an hour. He's pretty persuasive.
"Shh. It's okay." Bernadette lulled me. She was stroking my hair and hugged me tightly.
"But it's not!" I snapped.
It wasn't.
"I know you're hurting right now. I'm sure we all are-" She said in a calming voice before I cut her off.
"None of you will know exactly how much I'm hurting right now!" I yelled through uncontrolled sobs. "None of you! He's the love of my life!"
I freed myself from Bernadette and sulked over to the corner. I stood in the corner, putting my head on the wall and my hands either side. I began to hit my head lightly against it.
"Electra, don't take it out on the wall." Joe's soothing voice called out to me. He was behind me. He put his hand on my shoulder, letting me know that I could talk to him. "It'll be okay. I know it's not now, but it will be."
I spun around and fell into Joe's chest. He's such a good person. A hug from him made me feel slightly better. But nothing would ever make me feel better fully.
"Will he be okay, do you think?" I mumbled into his shirt. Joe, even with him being younger than me, is taller than me. He seems to be the tallest of us all and yet the youngest.
"I'm sure of it." He reassured me. I hope he's right.
I pulled away from him, not wanted to be too close to him.
I hope to god that Trick will be okay. Maybe I should call someone? Like... The police? Or his mom?
"Guys, I think we should call the police." Pete declared, almost as if he was reading my mind. "It's illegal, man."
"Or at least his mom." Alice said with a sincere scared look on her face. Could these people read my mind?
"Y'know, I think we should wait. Wait and see if we hear anything. If Lee's gonna do anything, we'll at least hear it." Bernadette told us. I guess she's right.
