A Very Awkward Moment Indeed

Streaks of sunlight hit my eyes through the curtain, I slowly blinked my blue eyes open to find something around my waist, I looked cautiously down to find an arm. Kendal's arm draped over me, pulling me closer to him, I looked at Kendal who was still asleep, his chest rising and falling peacefully. I bit my lip and snuggled closer into him,laying my head on his chest. "Strawberry?" I heard a sleepy voice say "Mhm?" I smiled and looked up at Kendal "What's today's schedule?"

I shrugged and sat up "I dunno" I tried my best to hide my smirk "Well, you know what would be fun to do?" He sat up and had a suggestive look in his brown eyes "Hmm?" I leaned closer as did he, he didn't speak, he just leaned closer until he was centimeters from my face, his scent  made my stomach full of butterflies "I think" he paused and leaned even closer until his lips were lingering on mine and I felt his hot breath on my neck "It would be fun to" He reached behind me "Tease you" he finished as he pulled a pillow from behind my back and hit me on my head.

"No far! I wasn't ready" I laughed but was slightly disappointed we didn't kiss "Teasing isn't nice" I stuck my tongue out at him and hopped off the bed before making my way down the stairs.

"Hello honey" Shane greeted me from the couch were he was next to Sage, Jess was still up stairs I presumed and Hayley was on the kitchen bar stool next to the island while Becca made cereal "Hey" was my only answer.

"How was your night" Hayley asked with a hint of aggression in her voice.

"Good" I tried to say without blushing over the fact that my night was more amazing than they'll ever know. "Well, today is going to be sunny so Sage and I wanted to go to the beach" I nodded at Shane, "Jess, Hayley and I are going to go to that new mall that's like an hour away so we have to leave quickly" I nodded again to Becca.

"So I'm home alone?" I asked with a mischievous smile on my face "Apart from Kendal then yes. But that doesn't mean you two can go if on some wild adventure or another food fight, you need to clean the house because you know my mom is coming tomorrow" I nodded. Sure like I was going to clean a house with currently 7 residents living here. I rolled my eyes at my thought and watched as a picture perfect looking Jess came bounding down the stairs "Mall. Mall. Mall. Mall. Mall" She buzzed and repeated the word to herself "Alright, let's go" A dressed but tired looking Hayley said with a tone that had a bit of excitement hidden underneath the hate.

"Let me go get ready" Sage said as she popped off the couch and up the stairs, Where's Kendal? the thought passed quickly in my mind before Sage came running down with one of Becca's old, smaller swimsuits she couldn't fit into "Have fun" I smiled as the two of them left.

I shrugged when I realized Kendal wasn't coming down soon and decided to go watch some Tv, I looked for the remote and sat down on the old couch "What took so long?" I asked when Kendal's scent began to linger in the room "Waiting until they were gone" He said as he sat down next to me.

"So about us, are we a thing?" He asked after about 5 minutes of watching Balto 

"It's complicated, I know we both like each other, and I also know that if we're caught it could be pretty bad" 

"So no PDA?" He asked sarcastically. I stifled a laugh "No"

"So, home alone. Whatcha want do?" I looked at him after he asked "I don't know, you decide. Teasing isn't nice so I might have to ignore you for a while" He shook his head and stood up and walked over to the island "Come on"

I set the remote down, walked over and sat on the island's counter "Harley, I really like you. Like a lot so if would please give me a chance and even if someone finds out about us then oh well, being with you last night was the best night of my life. I know this is a bit soon but I'm so glad I spilled my strawberry milkshake on you, I'm glad that waitress rejected me. Harley you truly are one of the best things to happen to me" I tried to take in his words all at once without crying like the baby I was "That was one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard" I managed to choke out.

He bent down so his face was in front of mine and his lips inches from mine "So far" He whispered before his lips came crashing down on mine filled with something more than yesterday, this one was full of  passion and need. I felt his hand go slowly down my back which made the butterflies still in my stomach increase, Our lips parted but he continued to kiss my neck, leaving a burning trail.

I put my hands in his short hair and pulled us closer while his hand moved down until it reached my butt which gave me enough leverage to wrap my legs around his waist. He began to move away from the kitchen and back to the couch where he laid me down, I took hold of the collar of his shirt and brought our lips back together. I could feel his hands greedily grab handfuls of my old tee shirt before I felt it being lifted off of me.

We parted and I looked into his big brown eyes that now filled with lust "Want me to stop?" He asked, I shook my head as I unbuttoned his shirt and tossed it on the floor "Only when you tell me to stop" He smirked and wrapped his arms around my waist, pressing my bare chest to his stomach. His kisses trailed down the right side of my body and soon came back to my lips. "If anyone would find us right now. It would be bad" I smiled but still had a hint of seriousness in my voice.

I heard a door click

"Well if this is my welcoming party, count me out" I heard a voice I instantly recognized say as I sat up quickly to see both Kendal and I blushing to the shade close to a tomato "Hi Barbara" I said

"Hi mom" Kendal squeaked out.

"Kendal? Oh it is you honey! Give your momma a hug! But with your shirt on" She pointed to his flannel shirt that was laid across the coffee table "And Harley, the little girl that always pushed Shane in the mud when it rained. Never did I expect to see you as a grown women with your shirt off and making out with my son" I looked away, stood and got my shirt before putting it on "Yea, sorry about that" 

"I called Shane to tell you I was coming early but he never called did he? I'm just guessing cause if your were me I wouldn't want to see what I just walked into the first time you see your son in a long time" I shook my head He did that on purpose, he knew we weren't going to clean. I glared at no one but the mental picture Shane in my head.

Kendal came back with his shirt on and hugged Barb "Nice to see you mom, love you" 

"Love you too sweetie, so now I need the scoop of you two and Shane and everyone" I laughed at Barb's remark.

"Where do I even start" Kendal said.

I finished this whole chapter really late at night and I'm kind of tired so sorry if there are any mistakes, I really just wanted to get this chapter done. Hope you enjoy anyway =)
