"Let's talk okay Harley?"
I stared at the black wolf in front of me and growled, standing my ground "No" The slim wolf laughed "Alec said he had a surprise for you? Or did you not get the memo? The little high school brat should have given it to you" I perked my ears "Jess?"
"Hm yes the sister, oh that reminds me. Lilly should be expecting a visit soon. Maybe Luke too" The black wolf slinked in and out the dark forest with gracefulness as I pounded across the forest floor to keep up "Stay the hell away from my family"
"No"
The wolf charged forward faster than I could compete with but still ran until I heard a blood curtailing scream followed by the pungent rusty smell of blood.
"Can't catch me"
The wolf appeared for a moment before I stumbled upon a large dark lake with the russet color of red "Harley?" Lilly's small voice sounded out, I stumbled forward to try and find her but my paw tripped on a root and I came crashing down.
"Look" The wolf's voice rang in the nightmareish forrest.
My blue eyes followed up to see the limp body of Lilly. The feeling of horror ran through me and made my fur stand on end and I stood and nuzzled my nose into her side. Her body then disappeared into thin air "Bring her back" I commanded the wolf trying not sound broken.
"No"
"How about a blast from the past? The reason Hayley can be so cold at times"
Now I really felt sick, if I was in human form I would surely be pale and crying "I didn't mean it. She was just there, I didn't know" I looked across the lake to see the wolf staring at me, her eyes glowing in the darkness of the night before they vanished.
"Knick-knack-paddywhack, give a dog a bone."
She sang softly into the whispered night but still made the noise terrifying. "I didn't mean it!" I howled out in distress as my breathing quickened when I saw the scene playing out before me.
"Of course you didn't"
"This old man came rolling home"
She was taunting me now, knowing that this hurt me. I heard a branch cracked and heard the screech of the old car and screaming. So much screaming and crying. I heard sorrowful howls and the ambulance coming. It's all my fault too. "No!" Hayley's scream rang out but she didn't appear "If you just listened Harley"
"But you aren't one for listening"

I screamed and awoke covered in sweat, the comforter was thrashed on the ground "Kendal?" My muffled sobs became lighter as he entered the room, his hair still wet from a shower he recently took. "Hey, it's okay" He said as soon as he saw my state he crawled in the bed held me close to his chest, rubbing my back with the pad of his thumb.
"Nightmare?"
I nodded quietly, "Is Hayley home?" He nodded and let me go "Can you get her?" He nodded again and shook his shaggy hair, water droplets landing on my bed. I turned to the clock to read that it was almost 5 in the morning, groaning I shakily stood and walked to the hallway "Jess? you need to get up now" I walked in to find a strange sight.
Becca, Jess and some high school kid all sprawled out on the bed, I shrugged and walked back to my room.
"But you aren't one for listening"
