First days were always a bitch though this time was going to be different since we weren't even speaking the same language. I had to admit I was nervous on the inside, but on the outside I was cool, calm, and collected.
Malia skipped her way inside my bedroom hyped up for the first day.
The uniform consisted of an plain white polo shirt with a navy blue blazer and skirt that stopped right above our knees and black shoes. Malia had managed to make the uniform look stylish with her long box braids pulled up into a neat bun and light makeup consisting of her brows, fairytale pink eye shadow and lip gloss complimenting her caramel skin tone.
"Aren't you excited Saniya?" She asked ecstatic sitting on the edge of my bed. I walked up to my mirror taking the twists out my hair.
"Honestly, I'm more nervous than anything but I don't want to appear like that".
I shook out my shoulder length curls staring at my appearance before placing them in two space buns. I did my eyebrows, mascara, and my signature dark berry lipstick.
"I'm jealous. That color fits you better than me" Malia pouted her lips as we made our way to our white BMW that we shared. "Brown skins are winning soo" I joked before laughing.
"Girl bye. All skins are winning" Malia snapped.
I noticed that our car was the only one in the driveway meaning that our parents were already gone for the day which was strange since they would always be home for breakfast.
I hopped in the drivers seat while Malia went in the passengers and plugged the schools address into google maps. We pulled out our neighborhood leaving the outskirts of Seoul traveling closer to the city. Seoul International Academy other known as S.I.A was pretty much a ten minute drive from home but took nearly a half hour due to traffic and my dumbass forgetting that we drive on the opposite side of the street in foreign countries.
The school was pretty massive and modern like everything building here. It held up to it's prestigious title even better than the private schools in America. The schools population was definitely monogamous with it's nearly all asian population and a few whites here and there.
I drove into the student parking garage and was lucky enough to find an open space on the first floor.
Feeling how moist my palms were becoming, I turned to Malia to see all her positive vibes were left behind as she stared at the wall ahead of us. "Is it possible we could swing back home now and forget about Korea".
