Chapter 10: Meet the Parents

It's been about a week since Milo and Leo's accident. The twins pretty much begged Milo to come back until he could go day to day without the brace on his back so he's been at his old house. Janell said she was going to stay in the apartment to make sure everything was fine, but after a day she got lonely and went along with Milo. I go to his house at least 3 times a day to make sure that he's fine, I don't know what it is about that boy but seeing him in pain feels like I'm in pain too.

A week since the accident also means about a week since Leo and January finally got together. I mean the only reason Leo became my friend was to get on January's good side, and he finally did it. I couldn't be more happy for them. It's weird too, to think that my relationship ends and a new one blossoms. But these two were meant to be together, so I hope it turns out well.

I turn into the driveway of Milo's house and see Janell outside yelling at one of the windows that Zoey is looking out of. "Unlock the fricken' door you child!"

"Janell, go get your own home you can afford it!"

"I never said I couldn't afford it, you tiny monster!" Zoey sees me and waves. "Hey Thalia, you can just put the passcode for the garage and get in from there." I start to walk to garage and Janell screams at me. "Are you seriously not going to let me go in?"

"Hey, it's not my house so it's not my rules." The second that I type in the digits into the keypad and hear the beep Janell sprints and shoves me out of the way to get in first. I laugh a little as I hear "You don't even live here!"

"I'm a guest! Let me live!"

"Nobody invited you, how the heck are you a guest?"

"My presence is a blessing, just deal with it!" I start towards Milo's room and can hear Lilly's giggles already. When I enter the room, she is sitting at the foot of the bed painting Milo's toenails. "What do we have here?" I ask. Unphased, Milo responds "She told me that she would give me a foot massage and I passed out and I woke up to her painting my toes."

"You didn't ask her to stop?"

"No, I'm not going to look crazy with only some of my toes painted!" He's such a good brother. I wish I actually had siblings growing up. These people were the closest I could get to the actual thing. I then hear a ringing that seems to be Milo's phone. "Can you get that for me?" I pick up and hear Leo screaming on the other side of the line "Dude what is up my main man?"

"Hey Leo, it's Thalia."

"Then what is up my main woman?"

"Leo, I don't think you're supposed to take those pain meds anymore."

"Today was the last day so imma let it ride! Anyways I was calling to tell you guys that my parents are going to hold a celebratory dinner for me actually having a girlfriend now. Dress nice, I'll text you the address for tomorrow. Actually, can you tell Dash for me too? My family wants to thank him."

"No problem. See you guys tomorrow." I hang up the phone and see Milo attempting to get up. "Lay back down you silly goose. You're going to strain your back."

"I heard we are going to Leo's house. I need to make sure my dress pants are clean."

"It's not that serious Milo."

"Thalia, have you ever been to Leo's house before?"

"Actually come to think of it, I don't think I have."

"Well it's probably triple the size of this house." My jaw almost drops when he says that because, Milo's house is huge. His parents left him a lot of money when they passed away and Milo and his sisters never really had to think about paying for anything on their own. Let's just say that not only does every sibling have their own room, but their own bathroom too. There is also a guest room which Janell is staying in right now, with it's own bathroom! "Wait a second, I didn't know that Leo is loaded."
