Thalia
A guy reaches out and carresses my arm. "Get your paws off my wife" Milo stammers out and pushes him back, swaying with his steps.
"Hey, hands to yourself!" the police officer screams from the other side of the bars that keep us from the outside world.
"Your wife?" I whisper to Milo, with a smile on my face.
"Damn straight. In this establishment we are married." He says wrapping an arm around my shoulder. "You aren't going to find a guy in jail Thalia."
"They just said to keep your hands to yourself. What are you doing right now?"
"Once again. You're my wife." He gives me the cutest, drunkest smile he could muster.
"Which by the way I just found out right now."
"And I found out I was your man in a club."
"Okay, understandable" I say, raising my hands in surrender.
"Man, I'm so drunk right now" he mumbles to me, slipping on each word.
"Same" we both look at each other and just giggle.
"Atlas. Martin." Milo and I both look look up from the steal bench we sat on when we hear our last names being called out and see a hefty police officer looking down at some paperwork.
"I thought you said that's your wife" the guy says again shooting a dirty look at Milo.
"It's the 21st century asshole. She can keep her last name if she wants to..." Milo says even though it might be slurring a little.
The police officer rolls his eyes at us as we approach him. "The owner of the club wants to speak to you two and from there we can discuss if they want to press charges." We both nod at the officer and hear the clicking of heals rounding the corner.
I hope the owner is nice and feels for us. And if she isn't then I guess my acting skills will go into play and I'll say that my husband and I just needed a night out from the kids.
Yeah... that should be a good enough story. We'll make it a tear jerker too. I'll sprinkle in a little of Milos life if I have to. That he legally has guardianship of his four sisters, and I'll say that we have 6 kids at home. That should get us out of jail. The clicking gets louder and pulls me out of my scheming.
Then I see the long legs turn the corner and the first thing that catches my eye. That freaking toe ring that pisses me off.
"JANELL ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" She goes to turn around before the officer calls her over. "These are the two that got arrested from your club."
"Miss? I don't know if you know her, but you look awfully similar to my friend Janell. We're roommates even though she doesn't pay rent."
"YOU'RE RICH WHY WOULD I PAY RENT!?!" Janell screams, and rolls her eyes.
"Wow. You sound like her too." Such a lightweight for a large man.
"You own a club?" I ask.
"Well obviously she owns a club. That's what the policeman said Tally." Milo says with a hiccup.
"Milo, honey, why don't ya zip your lips for a bit until we're on the other side of these bars?" I ask him.
"Anything you say pretty lady." He says with a wink.
I see Janell slowly inching away until I yell at her to come back. "How long have you owned a club for?"
"I'm an entrepreneur Thalia. I don't mix friends with business that's why you guys never knew" she says with an eye roll.
