Chapter 17: Count to 100...

"Ok Milo. We're gonna need you to start counting back from 100 okay?" The nurse says behind the mask she wears on her face, smiling with her eyes to comfort me.

"Okay... 100"

Please let everything be fine.

"99"

And if it's not let the girls be safe and fine without me.

And let Thalia be able to find someone to love her the way that she should be loved.

And let Leo and January get happily married. And Dash to continue to make changes in people's lives. And Janell to get far with her business like she should.

And maybe. Just maybe this is my time to see my parents again...

"96...97...98...99...100!" I open my eyes and i'm in the backyard to one of the houses we used to live in. I turn around and see someone's large curly hair peeking out from behind one of the trees.

"Got you Juliana!" I scream and she starts running. I tackle her to the ground and we start laughing. It's dark out and you can hear the owls hooting and the bugs making their noises.

"Hmmm. Where can Isabel be?" I ask and start tip toeing around the yard.

"What are you guys doing my little stargazers?" My mother says as she wobbles to the backyard. Sitting on one of the lawn chairs she smiles at us.

"We were playing hide and go seek." Juliana says as she walks up to our mother.

"In the dark?" She questions with her eyebrow raised.

"We find solace in the known fact that the stars are our street lights."

"Juliana you're 6 how do you know what solace means?"

"I don't. I heard it on a show and thought I could use it in a sentence" she says with a shrug and sits on the grass in front of Mom. I walk over to her and flip down on the grass next to her.

"Mommy have you thought of any names for the new babies?"Juliana asks, ripping some of the grass from the ground

"Nope. I'm open to any and all suggestions." She says, stretching her legs out.

"If theres a boy then I want their name to be Zach" Juliana says looking at me and I nod along. We discussed that the only option for a boy would be Zach and the other would be Zach Junior.

"And if Zach turns out to be a girl?"

"Well I think Zoey is a pretty name."

"That's a beautiful name, Juliana. Milo what about you?"

"Well for a boy, Zach Junior." My mother lets out a body shaking chuckle. "Okay, and for a girl?"

"Well, I was thinking a name of a flower."

"What about Rose?"

"No Mama, that sounds like an old lady's name. I won't like her if she sounds like an old lady." Another body shaking chuckle escapes her lips as I think of an alternative flower name.

"What about....what about Lilly?"

"Just as beautiful as Zoey. And good thing that you both picked out a name because there are two babies in Mommy's belly." Juliana and I both let out a sigh as we fall back into the grass and Mom laughs at the two of us, clutching her huge belly.
