Thalia
"I have a pounding headache" Milo moans from next to me. "Wow thanks for waking me up with your whining."
"C'mon lets go get breakfast" he says as he literally rolls out of bed onto the ground. "Ugh my chest hurts."
"It could be from falling off the bed you goofball. We can go to breakfast then go to a clinic and see a doctor"
"Whatever" He says getting up, heading to the bathroom.
"You two look like death." Isabell says as she laughs at the two of us. "Scratch that, Thalia looks better than you Milo. You look kind of sick."
"I always look better." I say as I pull Milo out of the door to get some food into him.
We walk for a little bit, trying to find somewhere to eat, and a little old man comes up to us with a bunch of red roses wrapped individually. "Would the man like to buy his lady a flower?" Before I can politely decline Milo pulls out his wallet.
"See kind Sir. My lady is allergic to flowers" he pulls out some money and looks around the street and points to a mother sitting at a bench with her daughter eating ice cream. "But I would like you to give all of the flowers to those two over there." The man thanks Milo profusely as he takes the money, and walks over to the woman.
"Stay right here" Milo says and runs into an arts and craft store that we are standing near. I watch as the man finally approaches the woman and the daughter. The daughter is smiling ear to ear and the woman looks as though she's wiping tears from her eyes.
I feel a tap on my shoulder and when I turn around Milo is grinning at me and handing me a flower.
"Miles. You know I'm allergic."
"Well yeah I'm not an idiot" he says and when I take the flower from his hand I see that it's fake. And I instantly smile.
"Your beauty cannot compare to a flower that wilts." He says with a goofy grin on his face and my heart flutters.
"Excuse me" the words pull me out of the staring contest I was having with him and when we turn around we see the woman and her daughter.
"Thank you very much" the little girl says and I realize the decoration on her little dress are a bunch of flowers. She zoned out as she looks at them and continues to smell them while Milo and I smile at her.
"Honestly you didn't have to do that. It was very kind. Thank you" the woman says with tears in her eyes.
"Honestly ma'am it's not that big of a deal. I'm just happy to put a smile on someone's face."
She looks down at her daughter and back at Milo. "Her father, my husband, is in the military and she's been missing him a lot lately and he always brings home flowers. So truly means a lot more then you think itdoes to us" and Milo's face droops a little.
He kneels on the ground so that he is eye level with the little girl. "Hello Princess, my name's Milo."
She extends her hand "Daisy" he smiles at her.
"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl I see" and she giggles a little. "I heard your dad's in the military. Well mine was too. And I had to be really strong because I have four princesses just like you that I had to be strong for until he came home and gave us all big hugs. So just get yourself ready to give him the biggest hug when he comes home, alright?""
"Your dad's in the military too?" She asks and he gives her a sad smile.
"Yup. And I can't wait to see him again" she wraps her little arms around him quickly in a hug and pulls back. "Thank you for the flowers Milo."
