Thalia

"C'mon get dressed!"
"Coming coming!" I walk out of the room and look into the living room to see Milo rolling up the sleeves to his dress shirt and he spins around to see me. The second he turns toward me it takes my breath away as I take in his appearance. As always, his top buttons of his shirt are undone and I am caught up with the sight of his tattoo peaking out of the shirt top.
"Tsk tsk tsk." Janell says as she clicks her way past me. "Atlas, you look good."
"As do you Elliot." He says to her, but never leaves eye contact with me. When she slumps onto the couch he walks up to me but trains his eyes on the ground until he's a step away from me and when he looks up at me I swear my breath catches again when I catch his shining smile and I get lost in the oceans that reside in his eyes. I could easily get lost in them everyday.
He holds out his arm to me and I lace mine with his, for some reason it feels like it's meant to be like this.
"You look divine." He whispers and I feel the heat through my face become present.
"You look pretty striking." He smiles at the ground as I walk with him to the door where the others have gathered and January is giving us a big smile for some reason before Leo elbows her and she clears her throat.
We end up at this beautiful area with string lights everywhere and the night life thriving. Not once has Milo's hand strayed from mine and I'm not sure if I even want it to.
"Ooo I see soft pretzels. I'll be back." Janell says and before any of us can stop her, she's already walking to a vendor.
"Okay, so at midnight Milo turns 26, so we have to do everything a 25 year old can in the few hours left." Leo says as January hugs his side and he looks around at the area near us. "We need to milk this cancer thing."
"Can we just completely forget that I have a deathly disease for one night? I'd like to just nothing about it for one night if that's possible." Milo says with a huff and the whole group quiets down.
"We can do that bud. Just no drinking I don't want your meds to clash with it and have you wait a longer time for the surgery." Dash claps Milo on the back to get away the tension of the group and Milo nods. "Now let's get this party started because my so called 'boyfriend' is being a bigger dick then the one he has." Dash winks at us. "And I think he will get a call tonight saying that's enough of that soon." He rubs his hands together and starts walking towards a club and turns around quickly when he sees nobody moved. "Unless you guys want me to be getting accidentally married I think someone should follow me."
"I don't think he's joking." I say as I grab Milo's hand and pull him after Dash.
He was waiting in a line for a club as we all joined him but the sight of how long the line was made me realize we'll probably never get in at this rate. Just then I caught sight of Janell coming back with her pretzel.
"What are you guys waiting in line for?" She asks as Leo takes the pretzel out of her hand and take a bite.
"That's what you do. You wait in line." She furrows her eyebrows and grabs the pretzel back.
"No. Janell Elliot doesn't wait in lines. Follow along children." She starts walking off and the rest of us exchange glances but Milo shrugs and pulls my hand along to follow her.
She walks right up to the start of the line and a burly man with sunglasses in the dark of night stands with his arms crossed in front of the velvet rope.
