A Party and a battle (part 1)

hey guys I just found out that I effed up the stories time line since near the beginning of this story I said it was 30 days until Christmas... So I'm just going to pretend that it's past Christmas (If you want me to do a chapter on their Christmas just tell me in the comments.) and pretend it's the next year? Sorry if this is so confusing I got confused as well.... But here's a new chapter!!! hope you enjoy!

It was a really boring day so far since there was nothing to do. Connor, Jc and Sam went away somewhere for a few days and Ricky was working on the music video for his new song, he is pretty excited for the fans to hear and see it. He said he would show me the video when it was finished so I was pretty excited to see it as well. I'm in my room at the moment reading 'The Fault in Our Stars by John Green' for the fifth time. It still gets to me though,( no spoilers if you haven't read it :P) but I can't stop reading it. Kian was out with Andrea and Meghan and the gang were busy doing God knows what and I've no clue where Trevor is though... he's probably gone out somewhere.

Suddenly I heard the front door open, "Anyone home?!" I heard Trevor yell up the stairs, I place my book on the bed and get up leaving my room, "The door would be locked if there wasn't anyone here." I say walking down the stairs where Trevor stood at the end. "Good point." He returns smiling at me, "Where's everyone? I know Connor and all are gone but where's everyone else?" He asks as we take a seat on the couch, "Ricky is upstairs editing, Kian is gone out with Andrea." "What about Meghan? I thought you were going to hang out with her and David today." He says confused, I shake my head, "Nah, they're busy." I say shrugging, "Oh, well since you're not busy can I ask you something?" He asks nervously, "Go ahead!" I say turning around to face him fully, "Um, would you possible like to go out with me tonight?" He asks pulling at his sleeves, "L-like a date?" I ask slightly confused. He nods his head slowly not looking up at me but at his hands, "Where is it." His eyes glance up at me, "It's this disco for teens, there's going to be loads of people there, it's okay if you don't want to go..." he rambled on making me chuckle, "Trevor, I will go with you." I say placing my hands on his calming him down, "really?" He questioned, "Yea, but I'm not wearing a dress." I say making him smile, "I didn't expect you to anyway."

*Time Skip*

Trevor's mum dropped us off at the place at 6pm. It started around ten or twenty minutes ago but it didn't matter since it was on till around midnight. I was dressed in a pair of denim jeans, white tee, leather jacket and black converse. I also had a black snapback with 'hi' written on the front and my R5 necklace. Trevor was wearing his jeans from earlier and a buttoned down shirt which was grey. He held my hand and we both walked into the building. The place wasn't packed but there were a lot of teens here, probably just less then 100. There was around 3 groups of people, Some playing just dance, some mindlessly chatting and drinking and others played spin the bottle there were also a few people scattered around swaying their hips to the music that was playing in the background or from the just dance game.

"You want something to drink?" Trevor offers pointing to the table with the drinks and cups on it, "Sure thanks." I smile, he smiles back and walks off while I stand their awkwardly in the middle of the room. I take out my phone and pretend to be on it, "The old 'take out your phone' trick, nice." a male voice says beside me, I glance up to see a cute boy. He had light brown hair combed into a quiff, he had piercing green eyes that at first I thought were blue and a pure white smile that he shown brightly, he could light up a room with that smile. I locked my phone and put it back into my pocket, "Yea, I'm waiting on my friend and felt really awkward." Suddenly Trevor came back with two red plastic cups, "Here you go." He said smiling, he looked over at the boy and nodded smiling, "Hey Chris, how's it goin?" Trevor asks, "Not bad Trevor, and yourself? When your friend here said she was waiting on someone I didn't know it would be you." He says giving me another bright smile , "ah yes, Rachel meet Chris, he's a youtuber, mostly makes raps to songs and Chris, this is Rachel, Ricky adopted her over 3 months ago." He explained, I put my hand out for him to shake but instead he brought me into a warm hug, "Nice to meet you." he smiles yet again when we release showing off his awfully white teeth. Suddenly a beautiful girl with brown hair walks up behind him and slings and arm around his neck, "Hey guys!" She says her cheerful voice chimes, "Hey Kirsten, this is Rachel-" Chris says to the girl I now know as Kirsten, "-the girl Ricky adopted a while ago and Rachel-" He turns to me smiling happily, "This is Kirsten my younger sister." He says, Kirsten glares playfully at him and bumps his shoulder, "Not by much," She states sticking her tongue out at him childishly, he rolls his eyes. When Kirsten's eyes land on Trevor's they went wide, "Trevor, is that you?" She asks unsure, He nods and smiles, "Been a while Kirsten, what was it, like five months since I last saw you?" He asks as they slowly engage into conversation. Me and Chris awkwardly stand there while the others talk, sometimes we smiled at each other and other times we just glanced and looked away, that is until Chris finally speaks breaking the awkwardness, "Wanna do something?" He asks looking around the place for something to do, at some point his eyes land on something making his eyes brighten, "wanna play over there-" he points over to the crowd who were playing just dance, "I think they're changing the game to a singing battle or something." He suggests. "Sure!" I gladly agree, I grab his hand and just as we're about to go Trevor puts a hand on my shoulder, "where you guys going?" He asks us, I look over at Chris while he answers, "We're gonna do a singing battle!" He cheers like a little kid, aww, he's really cute...wait...what?

"A singing battle you say?" Oh no, Trevor don- "Why don't we make this a little more interesting." he smirks, well shit. "I'm listening." Chris says as Kirsten walks up beside him. "Wanna make a bet? Person who wins gets ten bucks off the loser?" he enquires, "deal." Kirsten says before Chris can say anything and they shake, "Well, let's get started."

Just as we're about to leave I pull Trevor back, pissed. "Why? why the frick did you bet? I'm only getting use to singing in crowds Trevor." I say loud enough for him to hear and only him, "C'mon Rachel, there's not even a crowd around that area and this will boost your confidence I'm sure." He says patting me on the back, Just as I'm about to speak Chris's voice comes through the microphone, "C'mon Rachel! You ready to battle it out?" He asks making the room go quiet and all eyes turn to me and Chris, well fuck.

I drag Trevor with me to where Chris was and only let go when
I'm right in front of him, he soon walk off beside Kirsten, well, lets get this over with. I thank Chris as he hands me a mic and then begins to scroll through the songs on the screen, "See any you like?" he questions, I look through until I see the perfect song, "Track ten." I simply say earning a few gasps, "Are you sure, this song is pretty hard." he says hovering over the button to begin, "Just go already." "Alright, whatever you say." he mumbles tapping my song choice.

Well I know for a fact that this was crappy and I apologise! My exams are coming up and I still haven't a studied :I I'm freaking out...kinda
