Boy Talk with Sarah

"Uhm, I'm not sure, you'll have to ask him." Connor replies, I nod and lean back against my seat staying quiet for the rest of the ride. When we reached our house I immediately got out grabbing my bag and walked into the house searching for Ricky, I found him seconds later in the kitchen sitting on the counter scrolling through his phone with a frown on his face, "Hey." He smiles when he notices me near him, I return a ghostly smile and move closer sitting in the space beside him, Ricky locks his phone and turns to me, "So, how was school?" He asks placing his phone on the other side of him.

"School was fine," I replied shrugging, and then adding, "the teachers are nice and they're helping me improve my singing skills and I'm also starting to learn how to dance and act, well, if a little class play counts."I say, Ricky chuckles at my statement, "Sounds like a good day, so, much homework?" He continues the conversation, I shake my head, "I just have to finish some ideas i think would suit the song I'm writing with Chris, we decided we'll go through it either tomorrow or the next day during lunch."

Ricky stiffened at the mentioned of Chris' name, "Chris isn't that bad you know." I say looking down at my lap, I placed both my hands on top and stared at my fingers. "I just don't think he's a good influence for you." Ricky sighs glancing over at me, i roll my eyes at his statement, "Well, who do you think is a good 'influence' on me?" I asked, I was curious to know his answer, He gave a nervous chuckle scratching the back of his neck as he thought. "I don't know, maybe someone you know you and I can trust , a good friend, someone who won't persuade you to sneak ou-" "You can't blame Chris for that."

I interrupt him abruptly, I didn't want to hear any more and I seriously couldn't believe he just brought that up. I shake my head in annoyance, Might as well ask him what I wanted to ask him since I got in, "After I finish my homework can I go to Andrea and Jenn's? I need to talk to them." I muttered off near the end, I looked up at Ricky as he studdied my eyes for any sight of me lying to him, when he found none he sighed in defeat, "Yeah I guess, but you have to be home before nine." He instructs, I nod in agreement and jump off the counter and head up to my room to start writing.

I finished everything I needed to do at around five, which wasn't that bad. I smiled proudly at myself as I read over the lines I wrote once more before closing my notepad and placing it back in my bag along with my pencil case and other books. I packed my small shoulder bag for Andrea and Jenn's. I placed my nokia phone, purse and camera into the bag along with a pocket sized notebook and pen in case I got imspired to write something.

"I'm heading out, I'll be back later!" I call out to the boys hoping at least one of them heard, well, Ricky already knew where I was going so that was grand. I walked to Andrea and Jenn's in silence, oh God how I wished I had my iPhone to play some music on the way. 'Stupid Ricky, taking away my pride and joy' I muttered under my breath, well my second most pride and joy, Singing and playing my guitar was definitely first!

After my silent yet enjoyable walk I finally reached my destination, I went up to their apartment and knocked on the door twice, to my surprise Sarah answered, I facepalmed forgetting that she was staying with Jenn and Adrea, "Hey Rachel, what's up?" She asked happily when she saw me, "Hey Sarah!" I smile nodding in thanks when she moved aside to let me in, "Is Adrea or Jenn her by any chance?" I asked with slight hope in my voice, she frowned and shook her head, "No sorry, they're gone since twelve this morning, working on a couple of videos I suppose." She guessed shrugging her shoulders, "Why, is something wrong?"

I bit my lip, should I tell her? I mean I really just needed someone's advice, and Sarah is like a new part or my family, I sigh and nod to myself, "I'm having some... boy troubles." I say, Sarah gasps and immediately leads me over to the couch and sits me down, her sitting beside me, "Tell me everything!"

"Wow Rachel, that's a tough call." She says looking up at me after I finish explaining everything to her, I nodded in agreement, "Wait, let me see a picture of this Chris guy." I nod and reach for my phone forgetting that I don't have it, "Ricky has it." I say after I finally realise, "You can use my phone!" Sarah replies taking out her iPhone 4 from her back pocket. Her case was black with the words 'Dance like no one is watching' written on the back a different colour for each letter, but the way the writing was it looked kinda like splattered paint, it was pretty cool!

I smiled to myself as I held the phone in my hands, I was use to always carrying mine around, I quickly went onto Google and searched Chris' name and going into images, pictures of him and Kirsten and some with Crawford filled the list of pictures, I clicked on the one that looked to be the most recent, It was a picture of him and Kirsten at VidCon, his arm was slung over her shoulder in a brotherly way and he wore a crooked smile on his face. Kirsten looked like she was trying not to laugh in the photo as her eyes were screwed shut and a big smile plastered her face. I remember I took this on Chris' phone before they met up with a group of fans.

I finally showed the picture to Sarah and her eyes widened and she quickly took the phone off me and examined the picture more. "Holy hell he's gorgeous!" She gasped making giggle before saying, "But not as 'gorgeous' as Connor right?" I smirked playfully bumping her shoulder, she bit her lip in embarrassment as a blush rose in her cheeks, her and Connor have been getting closer and closer every time they meet, They even technically went on a 'date' to the movies, and Connor's been telling me that he's going to ask her on a real date to the park.

"Shut up." Sarah muttered after a while making me laugh happily, "So, what should I do?" I asked after it got quiet. Sarah placed her phone on her lap and thought, until she finally had an answer, "I think you should follow your heart, you can't really stop yourself from loving or not loving Chris, so when you go on your little 'lunch date' try to look for any signs that show you have feeling for him."

"Thanks Sarah, that actually helps!" I say hugging her, at first she was surprise at my sudden hug out of nowhere, but after a few seconds she hugged back and we laughed just like I would with a best friend, and Sarah was exactly that.

Updating at 11:35 at night because I'm that awesome and I can xD haha jk I just wanted to put it up and I couldn't wait until tomorrow to do it soo hope you liked it!

So....is it bad that I have an idea for a book 2 after this and possibly book 3 xD I spend way too much time over thinking this book and what I want to do with it haha.

Anyway, how's school for everyone? Mine's actually great for now, I won't be saying that on Monday when I face my irish and French teacher ........bad exam results......yeah I'm in deep trouble xD
