One More Date?

"Rachel, will you go out with me?"

I look at him in confusion, "What?" I asked not know what else to say, I mean, go out with him? We've only been on one proper date, well the party kinda counts too but-

"Will you. Go out. With me?" He asks again slower, I seriously don't know what to say, yes? but what if we're taking things too fast? Do I even love him as much as I think? Well I mean, I kissed him, so, that has to mean something right?

"Ugh.." I let out not knowing what to say, Chris frowns sadly. He pushed himself up and off my bed, "I'm sorry, I thought you felt the same." He apologises walking towards the door. No, he can't leave, I made a mistake! "Chris wait." I say getting up and gently grabbing his arm before he opens the door, "I would love to go out with you," His face brightens and he tries to go in for a kiss but I stop him, "But, I just don't want to move too fast, I promise I'll give you a proper answer if we go on one more date, at least I can figure out everything then." I say, his smile falters slightly but he still nods accepting my offer, "Since you're grounded we could do it during lunch? we could go out for half an hour and then walk back?" He suggests, I nod and smile at his decision, "Yeah, that would be great." I smile, suddenly his phone rings making bot of us jump. He takes it out and his eyes widen at the caller's name. "Uh, hi mom." He begins, my eyes widen in realisation when I remember he forgot to tell his mam he was here. "Uh, I'm at Rachel's, we were doing homework together." He winks at me making me blush, "Yes, I'll be home in ten minutes, uh huh, bye." He hangs up, "Well, I have to go." He sighs annoyed, I look at the clock to see that it's already seven. I'm surprised the boys didn't try to call us or anything.

I help Chris organise his books and put them in his bag and then lead him downstairs where unfortunately all the boys were in the sitting room watching something on Netflix.

"Ah you finally decided to come out of your room." Sam teases when he spots us making all the boys turn around and Ricky become annoyed once again, "Yeah, Chris has to go, I was just showing him out." I say gesturing to Chris who waves at the boys awkwardly, "uh yeah." I say walking towards the door with Chris at my heels, "okay was it just me or were they all giving me dear glares?" Chris chuckles as I open the door for him and he steps out but turns to face me, "Yeah, they're pretty over protective, well Sam and Jc not much, and Connor has kinda gotten as protective of me as Kian is which isn't much but still. Ricky's my dad so yeah he obviously is protective, and Trevor? I haven't really figured out yet." I say explaining everything to him, "Well, see you in school tomorrow? We can work more on the song then." He replies, I nod excitedly, at the end of the week me and Chris would have to sing it in front of the class and if it gets to the top ten we sing it in front of the whole school at the talent show.

"Bye Rae." He says kissing me on the lips, I smile into the kiss and kiss back, we jump apart when we heard one of the boys coughing behind me, I groan and say bye to Chris one more time before closing the door and turning around to see a pissed off Ricky.

"Uhh, I'm going to bed." I slowly say as I try to make my way past Ricky but he moves blocking the way to the stairs, "Or I can stay down here, yeah, that's sound better." I say backing up worried to know what Ricky was going to say, "Give me your phone." He demands holding out his hand, I quickly reach into my pocket and hand him my device. He slips it into his pocket and takes out an old Nokia brick from the other pocket handing it to me, "You can use this until I give your other phone back." He says before walking off leaving me in the middle of the hallway holding the unbreakable phone. Great.
