✾Ruby's pov
It had been one week since I last saw Cole and Dylan. Cole had not been coming to school because he was too busy dealing with the whole Margot situation. It was three in the afternoon and I was doing my maths homework when I got a call from Cole."Hey, Ruby."
"Oh hi, Cole."
"Listen, are you free right now?"
"Yeah, just doing some homework. Why do you ask?"
"Well I had to go get some of Dylan's stuff from Margot's place. He said he can't face her right now, so I'm going for him."
"Umm, okay. And?"
"And, I was hoping you could go with me. I don't think I can do this alone. She was always like a big sister to me."
"Yeah, sure.", I said while getting off of my bed.
"Great, I'll pick you up in ten."
"Yeah, bye.", And he hung up.
I quickly brushed my hair, took my phone off charging and ran downstairs. I walked into the kitchen to talk to my mum.
"Mum, Cole's coming here in a few, we're going out. Is that okay?", I looked at her while she chopped a carrot on a white cutting board.
"Just get home early, I'm making something special today. Your dad will be home too."
"Okay, I'll be back in an hour or so."
I gave her a quick hug and made my way out of the house. I stood there for a few minutes and then Cole's car came speeding up the street and stopped in front of my house. I walked over to the other side and got into the car. As soon as I stepped in, Cole hugged me. I was surprised at first but then I eased down and snuggled up close to him.
"I missed you.", He whispered softly.
"I missed you too.", I said, breaking the hug.
"How's Dylan?"
"He's a mess, staying up late looking at Margot's pictures. He's been drinking too."
"Poor thing.", I sighed.
"It's so hard to see him like this, Ruby."
"Don't worry. You take care of him and I'll take care of you. We'll get through this. I promise.", I reassured him.
"Where would I be without you.", He smiled.

The drive to Margot's house was very quiet. Every now and then, he would just sigh and push his fingers through his hair. He had dark circles under his eyes indicating that he'd been up with Dylan a couple of nights. I couldn't help but feel sad for the both of them.
After fifteen minutes of driving we finally arrived at our destination.
I grabbed his hand before he got out of the car and said,"Hey, it'll be okay."
He gave me half a smile and we both got out. I followed Cole because I knew nothing about this woman, and I was very nervous. He walked over to her front door and rang the doorbell. A few minutes later the door opened to reveal a blonde haired girl with crystal blue eyes. She looked really pale and tired.
"Cole.", She said.
"What are you doing here?"
"Margot, I didn't come to chit chat, just have to pick up some things for Dylan.", He said without looking at her and walked into the house, making her step aside. He pulled me with him.
