✾Ruby's pov

"Where are we going?", I asked him.

"I'll be right back, going to go change."

"Get changed for what? What is happening?"

"Well, I have something planned for you today."

"Umm, and what is that exactly?"

"You ask too many questions, babydoll."

He gave me a funny look as he locked himself in the bathroom, leaving me confused.

Cole pulled up by a large, tall, grey building with huge cement pillars. It both looked vintage and classy. It was only after a while before I realized where he had bought me.

"A museum? Really?"

"Yeah.", He said, turning off the engine.

I've been to muesums before but this place was so beautiful and rare. It looked so fancy from the sight of it. Cole and I both stepped out of the car. We walked towards the glass entrance door as he slowly intertwined his hand with mine. I had gotten so used to his touch. It was simply... calming. Him holding my hand felt natural now. Once we reached to the inside of the museum, I was shocked. It was just as beautiful as the outside, even more so. It had a really high ceiling that had been painted with shades of blue and purple. The museum had several art galleries and exhibits for all different categories. Some had pastel oil paintings, some had pottery sculptures. It was all so delicate and breathtakingly beautiful. We walked through most of the exhibits, admiring the art and the creativity. Every single piece was rare and told a whole new different story. His hand was still in mine as if he was afraid to let go or something. It was honestly very adorable. Looking at the art, I wished that I was half as good as the artists behind these masterpieces. I loved art. I picked up on every little detail, like on a DNA cellular level. How different shades of colors merged together on smooth, lightly beige tinted canvas paper. And how every stroke of the brush added different intensities of depth to the painting. It was all so much to take in all at once. There were so many amazing paintings and portraits to look at, every piece was worthy of time and attention. I would occasionally look at Cole and couldn't decide on what was more beautiful, the paintings or how his eyes flickered at different parts of each canvas. And how his pupils dilated and softened up when he saw something he liked. He was very cute and caring for a bad boy, which was surprising. In the middle of me adjusting the collar of my shirt, out of nowhere, he kissed the back of my neck, causing me to go all warm.

"We're in public, you dumbfuck.", I whispered.

He stepped back, my hand still in his and a smirk on his lips. He placed his arm around my waist and said,

"Oh please, you're dying inside right now."

I gave him an annoyed look at his remark. But he was right, I was all fluttery. It's like I had no sort of control over my feelings and emotions when I was with him.

"Well, this is why I bought you here, Ruby.", He said, holding up two tickets in his hands.

"I booked an entire hall so it would just be us there to watch the stars tonight."

"Oh my God, so what you mean is we're going to..."

"Stargaze. Yes.", He cut me off before I could finish my sentence.

I gave him the tightest hug I could possibly give anyone. He giggled at my reaction. My affection for him was growing by the day, I felt like my heart would explode into tiny mushy bits.

"I reserved tickets three weeks ago. Just waited for the perfect opportunity."

The lights dimmed down in the hall until the entire place was pitch black. Then all of a sudden, the roof crumbled into the sides and the beautiful night sky came into view. Everything looked and felt unreal and magical, like it were a dream. It just seemed too good to be true. If my grandmother were still alive, I would've told her all about Cole and all the things he does for me. She would've had definitely told me to marry him. He had done so much for me and made me so happy in such a short period of time. It was almost surreal. The star's shine sparkled on him and I wasn't sure what was more heavenly. Him admiring the beauty of the night sky or the night sky itself. I moved closer to him so we were inches apart and I rested my hand on his face.

"Thank you so much for taking care of me, Cole.", I whispered.

He didn't say anything and just pulled me into him, making our lips meet. This was like a scene straight out of a movie, but only better and real. We stayed like this for a while until the lights slowly started turning on.
