✾Ruby's pov
It had been one week since I had moved in with Cole. Everything was going good so far. We would go to school together and hang out. But we still had our personal space too, which was comforting. We slept in separate rooms, but still cuddled while watching movies. So far, we had things under control. Dylan was doing much better too. He had made progress with moving on from Margot. Cole and I were very happy for him and had been helping him along. Cole had been very responsible. He had been taking care of me and making me feel right at home. Not once had I felt homesick. Mum called every day to check up on me. I went to meet her yesterday and she told me that things between dad and her were slowly starting to get better. Things were making sense for a change. It was 3:14 am currently and I was having trouble sleeping because of the light coming into my room from underneath the door. The light was coming in from Cole's room. He was still awake, apparently. That's when I reached out for my phone from the bedside table and typed out a text to him.Me: turn off ur lamp.
I sighed and stared at the screen with one eye open. Within a second, he texted back.
C: ur still up?
Me: all thanks 2 u. :(
C: sorry, just finishing up some homework. i'll turn it off.
Me: thanks. :3
C: i hate the fact that we're in the same house but ur not with me. fml. y did it have 2 be school night? this is sad.
Me: yeshie. it is. i so want a hug.
C: stop being cute. or come be cute in my bed.
Me: no, shut up. i'm sleepy.
C: yeah, u should sleep.
Me: okie then.
C: good night, babygirl.
Me: night night, teddy. And with that I heard him get up and the light went out. He must've turned off his lamp. I then put away my phone, nuzzled up in my sheets and shut my eyes.

I was fast asleep, everything was still. I was laying on my stomach on the bed. I heard my door knob turn but didn't give much thought to it. I was about to change sides when I felt a pair of strong arms slide around me. I frantically tried to sit up but he held me down. And whispered in my ear,
"Shush, it's me."
My body relaxed and I rested back in his grip.
"I got lonely. Can I sleep here?"
I hummed in response, my eyes still closed. He properly lied down in bed and got more close to me. And there we were. It was almost 6 am. And we were asleep in the same bed.
I felt safe in his arms. I felt at home. He was home.
