"Thank God!" I whispered to myself at the sound of the bell which signaled the end of the period. My fellow classmates hurriedly packed their stuff and rushed out of the classroom seeing as it was time for break. A few girls lingered behind to say goodbye to Mr Knight but he didn't pay them much attention and they were forced to leave the class.
I was finally done packing my stuff, being extra slow and I had no further reason to linger. Mr Knight had not even noticed my presence in his classroom because he was too occupied by the papers he read in his hands while leaning against his desk like he had done just seconds ago while teaching.
'Should I stay? Or should I just go?' These were questions that plagued me as I made my way towards the door. The kiss had changed things between us. I was sure that they had. Despite that, Damon had given no indication that he wanted me to stay. The kiss we shared yesterday still played in my head and whenever it did, it brought a blush to my cheeks. Nothing more had been said after the long sweet kiss. Damon had to rush out yesterday in response to his father's call and I didn't see him till this morning at school.
I avoided eye contact as I grew closer to the door, praying for him to tell me to stop.
"Miss Brown, please wait behind." His deep voice sent shivers down my spine and I immediately came to a halt. The person in front of me gave a shrug and closed the door behind him when he left.
I didn't have to turn around to know that Damon was standing right behind me. The familiar warmth from his body and dominating aura was enough to let me know.
Taking a deep breath, I slowly turned around and came face to chest with him. I stumbled back into the door blushing at my clumsiness. "You wanted to see me?" I asked, my voice coming out soft and unsure.
A finger came under my chin and tilted my head up and soon I was staring into familiar green pools that made me want to sit and stare into them all day. "Yes, yes I did." Mr Knight said, voice husky and seductive.
A smirk lifted the corner of his lips and he brought those lips down on mine. Every thought and doubt I felt about him this morning vanished and I found myself kissing him back. I Taylor Brown was kissing Mr Knight, my History teacher and in school no less.
With that thought in mind, I wrenched away from him almost whimpering at the loss of contact. "We're at school," I whispered harshly. Damon only smiled at my words, placing his forehead on mine and brushing his nose against mine. "Yes we are," he whispered against my lips. He smirked again looking into my eyes and then he pressed a kiss at the corner of my mouth. He moved on to my cheek and then to my neck where he stopped and took in a deep breath.
I didn't want this to stop. I just wanted to block out the whole world while I got lost in Damon Knight. This man was making me feel things I didn't even know I could feel. But this wasn't the place or the time for this and there would be dire consequences if anyone found us in this very compromising position.
"Then y...you know what would happen i...if anyone found us like this." I told him. A few seconds passed and he remained exactly where he was, his face in my neck and arms wrapped around me. With an unhappy sigh, he pulled away from me.
"Hi," he said smiling down at me as he tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "Hi," I said, I couldn't help the smile that took over my face. Damon leaned down and placed a kiss on my forehead.
