Standing alone in the corner of the hall wasn't exactly how I thought this night would go.

Even Kyrn that was supposed to be keeping me company and making sure that I had 'fun' was nowhere in sight to do that.

So, yes, I was very bored now.

With nothing else to do and knowing no one in the room, I had withdrawn to the corner of the room. I stood watching everyone in the room talk, dance and drink champagne. I caught sight of Damon a few times but every time I did, he was never alone.

He was always with some old man or a pretty girl. The pretty girls annoyed me. They laughed at whatever it was he said, touched his arm and occasionally leant in to whisper to him. Why couldn't they keep their hands to themselves?

It's not like Damon did anything to stop them anyway; he even encouraged them. He danced with every single one of them that asked him to dance.

But what do I care?

I have no right to be jealous or angry. So why am I jealous and angry?

"What is the prettiest girl in the room doing all by herself?" I heard a voice ask pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked to my left and saw a guy leaning against the wall. The first thing I noticed was that he was rather good looking.

He had on a black tux- like most men in the room did, - dirty blond hair, sky blue eyes and a body that filled out his tux nicely. A smirk played on his lips as he stared at me.

"Excuse me?" I asked, not sure if he was talking to me but there was no one else in sight, so...

The guy in question chuckled a little as he stood up straight and walked towards me. "What is the prettiest girl in the room doing all by herself?" he repeated. So he was talking to me.

"Not so sure about that," I said to him. "Not sure about what you're doing by yourself?" he asked, the smirk on his face growing wider as his eyes shone with amusement. "Not sure about being the prettiest girl in the room," I corrected, looking away from him and towards the room where everyone else was.

"I beg to differ," he said, staring down at me with those nice blue eyes of his.

Was that a compliment?

I laughed, looking away from him to hide my blush. "If you say so," I muttered.

"Will Daniels," he said introducing himself and stretching out his hand. "Taylor Brown," I said taking his hand and he surprised me when he brought my hand to his lips and placed a soft kiss on the back of my hand while smirking up at me.

Is it just me or do I blush a little too much?

Will's smirk grew wider when he let go off my hand. It was easy to tell that this guy was a ladies man. With the good looks and the flirting, who wouldn't want to get with this guy?

"You still haven't answered my question you know," he said putting his hands in his pants pocket. "What are you doing here all by yourself?" he asked, for the third time. "I could ask you the same thing," I said making him chuckle. "I asked first," he retorted childishly and I couldn't help but laugh at his antics.

"Since you want to know so bad, I'm people watching." I told him looking towards the room full of people again. Damon was nowhere in sight once more. "I guess it's your turn to answer," I said looking away from the room and at him. He let out a sigh leaning against the wall before answering, "I got bored."

"How come?" I asked, really curious. He looked like someone who loved to have a good time. He looked like someone who could take away most of the ladies' attention away from Damon. He could have all the women in the room swarming towards him and he also looked like he knew all this and enjoyed it.
