So, here was how the moment I had been dreading since I arrived home went.

Kyrn had given me an earful after I told her everything that happened the previous night, leaving out Damon of course. Thank goodness for the presence of Nolan or her speech would have been longer and filled with more cussing. My little savior was also very happy to see me and I him.

After that, Kyrn being Kyrn went on to ask about Drew and how hot he was and if we did anything on his bed aside from sleeping. As inappropriate as her thoughts were, I was glad for the very uncomfortable conversation because it meant that she was no longer mad at me. She acted like a mother bear but it warmed me to my very core.

And so, after that I thought if I could survive Kyrn I could survive Damon.

It wasn't until an hour after I arrived that we heard the familiar sound of the jingling of keys and the unlocking of the door. I was sat on the couch that faced the door so once Damon walked into the room his eyes automatically went to me.

The look in his eyes once they landed on me chilled me to the bone and I found myself swallowing the saliva in my mouth. I don't think I had ever seen those green eyes that angry before. Kyrn had warned me that Damon would be mad but what I saw in those beautiful eyes and the set of his jaw wasn't anger but outright fury.

We stared at each other for what felt like a very long time. I was too scared to look away. Luckily, Damon looked away from me bringing the staring match to an end.

He observed the other two occupants of the room. Nolan was too busy watching cartoons to notice that he had walked in and Kyrn looked like she was silently begging him with her eyes.

"Your room now!" He said to me. Damon's voice was the definition of cool, calm and collected. I was rather surprised that his voice did nothing to betray the look in his eyes. But, that didn't deceive me because I could still see the fury in his eyes.

I knew not to argue even though it was kind of his fault that I left the party and spent the night with Drew without telling him. I obediently stood up and went down the hallway to my room. I felt his presence more than I heard the heavy footsteps that followed behind me.

I opened the door to my room and walked in and Damon followed. He was closely followed by Kyrn who stopped him from closing my bedroom door. "Take it easy," she said to him. Her voce was filled with concern as she stared between us. Damon said nothing to her and shut the door in her face making me wince at the bang. Then, he turned around to face me.

The room might have been silent, filled with only my beating heart and the sound of us breathing but that didn't dull or rid the room of the tension that had settled over it.

I decided to remain silent and wait for him to talk first.

Him in question could only be described in one word right now and that was livid.

I had never seen him this way before and it scared me. I had no idea how he would react or what he would say. He wore an expressionless look on his face, his posture was rigid and from where I stood I could see him visibly vibrate with anger as he stared at me. It made me uneasy and uncomfortable. It reminded me of my stepfather when he was just about to strike.

But, I knew Damon and I knew that he would never hurt me the way that stepfather did. And I knew that Damon was only this way out of concern not because I had failed to make it home to make him dinner. Knowing this was enough to calm me and stop me from hyperventilating.
