I winced when I heard a familiar squeal once I stepped into the apartment. "Oh my God! You look so adorable!" Kyrn squealed again while clapping this time around.

"What the hell is going on?" I asked walking into the living room. I had to stop and have a double take of the scene before me. "Wow," I whispered staring at the two people that stood in the living room. Nolan stood in the middle of the living room in a cute little tux and a black bowtie. Adorable was the only word to describe him right now.

"I know," Kyrn squealed again. I watched Nolan blush and squirm at all the attention he was getting. "He's going to be the cutest little man at the gala," she said with a smile on her face as she knelt down to adjust his bowtie.

I knelt down right next to her as we both fawned over the little boy as he blushed and shuffled his feet. "I feel like a penguin," he muttered to me frowning down at his tux.

"You shouldn't" Kyrn said the same time I said, "you look super cute" and kissed his nose.

"Why don't you go change," I suggested when I noticed how uncomfortable he was getting. I watched him heave a sigh of relief before running down the hallway.

"Gala?" I asked turning to Kyrn when we were alone. "Yeah," she said picking up stray shopping bags, trying to clear up the untidy living room.

Then something occurred to me. "Where's Damon?" I asked her. Nolan was home and with Kyrn. He had to have picked up Nolan and dropped him off.

"Went out. He picked up Nolan from school and then Nolan and I went shopping. I still cannot believe that I'm an aunt." She finished with a soft smile on her face staring down the hallway.

"So, did he tell you about Nolan before or are you just finding out?" I asked her. "Just finding out and he didn't have a lot of time to tell me much except how Nolan got here." She answered.

"Do you know anything about Nolan's mum?" I couldn't help but ask. If Damon wasn't willing to tell me, I had to find out from other sources. Kyrn was his sister, she was bound to know something.

"No, he didn't tell me anything about her," she answered with a shrug of her shoulders. Well, there goes that source.

"Anyway, back to the gala. You have to see your dress, you are going to love it." She said grabbing my hand and before I could say anything, she was dragging me down the hallway to her room.

"You got me a dress?" I asked her, the surprise evident in her voice. I got no verbal response from her, only a sly smirk. "Why don't you go wait in the living room sweetheart," Kyrn said to Nolan  as we entered her room. Nolan who was out of his tux and back in his plain clothes gave a quick "okay" before leaving the room. I looked around the room and noticed how untidy it was so I took to tidying up, putting Nolan's clothes and toys away.

"Ta da" I heard Kyrn sing behind me and when I turned around, in her hand was the most gorgeous dress I had ever seen. It was a beige ankle length dress. The design was simple yet elegant and you could tell it was no ordinary dress.

"Its beautiful," I said running my hand down the fabric of the dress. "Go on, try it on" she said pushing me towards the bathroom. It was a beautiful dress and I was really excited to try it on but once again I felt bad that the Knight siblings were spending money on me.

"I knew it," Kyrn squealed jumping off the bed and walking towards me once I got out of the bathroom. She dragged me to her full length mirror where I observed myself from head to toe.

"You look gorgeous," Kyrn whispered in my ear as we both stared at my reflection.

I loved it.

"Thank you," I whispered to her reflection. I wasn't just saying thank you for the dress but for everything. She was always so nice to me; she was like a sister to me and was my second best friend. I think she got what I was trying to say because she squeezed my hand and smiled at me.
