I found myself spending more and more time at the Blake's house. One time, I decided to bring Raven over with me while we waited for Octavia to come home from her job.
"Raven.......stooop," I whined as she continued to force food down my throat. Now normally, I'd never pass up the offer to slob for food, but Raven's food?
Hell no, it tastes like shit.
"Open up!" she warned as she prepared another spoonful in front of my mouth.
"What is this again?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows in disgust.
"Aww, come on it's not that bad. It's a Reyes special. We call it the 'perfection salad'," she said smugly. "You basically mix all of your favorite vegetables with gelatin," she slid the spoonful between my lips.
"Eww," I spat it out back onto the plate. "Gross, Raven!"
"It's not for everyone," she shrugged, placing the leftovers inside the fridge. "Anyways, I went to a bar last night and met a guy named Roan."
"Oh, really?!" I asked interested.
"Yeah, but he wasn't my type. Way too much muscle," she added.
"I feel you," I nodded in agreement.
The door opened, the breeze from outside grazed my bare arms as Bellamy and....John Murphy walked through the door. My eyebrows lifted in recognition.
"John Murphy?!" I greeted him.
"The one and only," he replied.
"I highly doubt that," Ravens voice interrupted us and we all turned our attention to her. "I mean there are tons of people that go by John and have the last name Murphy," she explained.
"Touché," Murphy added and held a hand out to Raven. "John Murphy, but you can just call me Murphy," he smirked.
"Raven Reyes, you can just call me Raven," Raven shook his hand.
Murphy took a look at Bellamy and they had a conversation with their eyes. I could tell Bellamy didn't want him to say something.
"Married to Bellamy, yet?" he asked anyways with a playful gleam in his eyes. Bellamy sighed and looked away awkwardly.
"No, but I'm sure you wish we were. Married, that is," I answered.
"You know me so well," he said. Bellamy walked further into the kitchen and opened the fridge, searching for food.
"What the hell is this?" he asked as he pulled the perfection salad out of the refrigerator.
"It's my perfection salad! You should try it!" Raven suggested, pulling both Murphy and Bellamy onto kitchen stools. Bellamy cut a slice of salad for Murphy and another for himself. I watched as they brought it up to their mouths and ate it. Grabbing the garbage cans, I headed over to them, holding it under their mouths just on time for them to be spitting the 'salad' into the trash.
