I finally got to see my most favorite view of Arkadia two nights later. After a day and a half of comforting my mom, I decided it was about time to get some fresh air and breather for once. No one knew I was up there. I stole the key that was under the Blakes' "Welcome" doormat since we were six and scurried up the steps to my happy place.

I never would have expected to be here a couple days ago, I thought to myself. Roan basically had me thinking that I'd never escape, never be happy again. And sadly, I guess I was starting to understand that until I got a hold of Bellamy again.

I watched as cars zoomed passed tall buildings and relief swarmed me. Back when I was in college with Finn, I longed to remember this feeling of protection and warmth. I could only muster up memories that did no justice to what it is like in person.

I heard the door creak open and turned around to see who was home.

"What are you doing up here?" Octavia asked in the doorway, crossing her arms. "It's freezing."

I motioned for her to join me and she obliged. I wrapped a blanket around the two of us that they left out here as she sat on the ledge with me.

"Better" I asked.

"Yeah," she sighed and the cold air protruding from her mouth vanished into thin air. "How have you been?"

"I don't know. I mean of course I'm happy to be here, to be home, but I kind of want to just go a year into the future, you know?" I wrapped the blanket tighter when a gust of wind blew the hair out of our faces.

"Why's that?"

"These last few months have been really hard. I just want to pretend they never happened. The whole Finn situation, and then you and Raven being in the car accident, and then Raven being sexually assaulted, and now me being kidnapped....," I stopped. "Wow I just realized how shitty these last couple months have actually been."

Octavia giggled. "I  know. I get it."

"It's really nice up here," I changed the subject.

"Isn't it? Bellamy and I have been praying to God up here to bring you back to us." She released the blanket and stood up. "Come on, can you sleep in my room tonight?"

"Sure," I giggled, following her to her room.

"Sure," I giggled, following her to her room
