Who won was obvious. Obviously the part that decided to return it.
Since every second I love him more and I never wanted to see him cry again.

"Here." I returned the ring to Prince Naruto, hoping to never see him like this again. "Don't cry anymore." He grabbed it from me and held it tightly in his palms as he cried in relief.
I embraced the smaller boy in my arms and apologized to him. "I won't steal it ever again, I'm sorry."

That was when I decided to abort a mission for the first time.
But I had my own mission - to gain his trust though it has failed miserably, it won't stop me from trying.
I cherished the seconds I get to hold him in my arms before he broke away. I immediately yearned for him.

Prince Naruto unexpectedly dashed out of the room and into the hall way. I chased after him and he led me to the main door which was locked of course.
He banged hard against those strong doors as he panted. The boy turned back to me and yelled, "Since you no longer want the ring, let me go!"

"I can't do that, prince. I can't."

"Why? Why?" He mumbled to himself as he gave up on breaking the door.

"I just can't." I had to keep my reasons to myself. Its me who wants to be freed from you.

"But my father and his army will come looking for me. And.. He'll have your head when he finds out."

Is he threatening me or is he worried about me?

"So be it." My voice was stern but I walked away from him, confused. I just needed some time away from him.
I entered my own room and isolated myself.
That's right. I would never be able to be with him. His father would never approve of this, I am everything bad you can think of - a thief, bandit, assassin, murderer.
He wants my head alright. And I wouldn't mind having the honor to spar with the king.

No, I can't. The king's is Naruto's father after all. If anything happens to the king.. Ah, shit.
What kind of situation did I led myself into? I'm basically digging my own grave.

"Hey, mister." A sweet voice from the opposite side of my door drew my attention away from my thoughts.

"My name is Sasuke Uchiha." I replied coldly as I advanced to the door.

"Sas.. You're very infamous and wanted, you know? My father said you are a dangerous man." The sweet voice replied, only this time, with less fear.

"Am I a dangerous man to you?" I opened the door swiftly and it made the prince jump. Once our eyes met and locked, it was like time slowed down. I just wanted to embrace him, so badly. Unconsciously, my hands reached out to him as I pulled him closer.
And closer.
Until our bodies collided.
Our eyes still glued and as my face leaned closer to his slowly, I whispered, "Well, am I..?"

"No.." He replied as if he was in a trance. "No you're not dangerous.. To me." The tip of our noses touched and our lips are inches away.

As I moved in, someone knocked loudly on my front door. It ruined the moment and made the prince snap out of his "trance" he broke away and disappeared to his room at once.

I was so mad, I was furious. I stomped down the stairs and swung open the door. "What the fuck do you want?"
I folded my arms and leaned against the doorframe.
It was a man maybe a year or two younger than me, he had short black hair and coal eyes similar to mine.
"Hi, sorry to intrude. My name is Sai.
I'm here to pick up a ring. The Azure Ring."

I sighed out loud hearing it was the anonymous caller that wanted Naruto's ring, "I don't have it."

"Didn't we make a deal on the phone three days ago?" He asked curiously, taken aback by my answer.

"Well, the deal's off." I replied, uninterested. Without waiting for his reply, I slammed the door on him. But his foot caught it right before it could close shut. "Sasuke Uchiha.. I'm willing to pay."

"I said the deal's off." I growled, staring at him through the thin space from the door to the doorframe.

"I wonder, what makes the infamous Sasuke Uchiha back off from such a beneficial deal?" Sai threw the question at me, turning his astonishment to suspicion.

"It's none of your concern." I applied force on the door, threatening to crush his foot if he holds it any longer.

"Sure it's my concern.."

I'm losing my patience.

"Hey, help! Mister! Help!" It was Naruto, screaming for help from the third floor's open window.
I saw Sai smirked before I dragged him in. I had no choice, if this leaks out I'll never get to see Naruto again.

"What a surprise. What do we have here.." Sai paced around me.
"Looks like we not only have The Azure Ring, but also the prince.."

"Shut it, or you're dead." I warned him. I'm not taking any chances of losing Naruto.
I threw Sai in the basement and chained him up. This is what I do to people. And this is what I couldn't do to Naruto.
Before I closed the basement door, Sai asked, "Since the ring is here, why not hand it over to me? You'll be so filthy rich that you could go to another town and start your life over as a rich and harmless business man. Instead of running and hiding away here."

"Who says I'm running and hiding?"

"Tell me, what made the merciless Sasuke Uchiha soft? That kid?"

"...."

"He must be real special then.." Was the last thing I heard before I shut the door and locked it. Dammit. I hate the interest that sparked in his voice. I have to eliminate him by tonight.

Like I told myself, I'm not taking any chances of losing Naruto.
