According to a Google search, a hyphema should heal in one or two weeks. Upon further research, it can depend on how bad it is. But 2-D has had a hyphema for 20 years. No way it should last for that long!! And we never see him get horribly hit in the face, so he shouldn't be "re-getting it".

Also 2-D has normal eyes on the cover of Demon Days. And he's been seen with these kind of eyes in other arts from Phase 2. Jamie had said this is from "lighting", but I call BS! That is some weird looking lighting.
2-D is just faking his Hyphema, because it's iconic and help made him famous. Kind of like how Larry the Cable guy fakes his voice or whatever.
