Leigh-Anne's POV

We've been sitting here, an hour straight, and yet we still don't have a plan for our duet. It's just so complicated. I want to put some rap in the song, but Jade and Jesy want a more ballad-esque tone. So we probably won't come up with a single. And that thought annoys me a lot; it feels like we're wasting our valuable time.

"Maybe, we can just do a ballad and add some rap?" Perrie suggests.

Jesy kept clicking her French manicured nails on the table, and it started to really annoy me. "Could you stop please?" Jesy looks down at her nails, and smiles. "Oops, yeah sorry. I always seem to do that when I'm nervous." I shrug my shoulders. I really have come to the point literally everything annoys me.

Perrie sighs. "We're not getting anywhere this way. And besides, where's management? They should have been here an hour ago. I think we really need their help."

"I know, I'll call," Jade says, already grabbing her phone.

She stands up and walks to the corridor.

The atmoshphere is strained between the three of us. However, Perrie and Jesy seem like they've known each other for years, joking around. I feel like I've known Jesy for longer than just an hour too, but then in a different way.

It's like when you bump into your old classmate, whom insulted your brand new jacket when you were in primary school. You're still a little mad at her, for making your tiny you cry, but you also know you need to get over yourself.

"So since you just totally ignored it; what do you guys think of my suggestion?" Perrie asks while she grabs a cookie - not hazelnut - from the scale.

"I think it's good. I mean, we don't have any choice." Jesy responds.

"I think we should stop thinking of bringing out a single. We should just wait for management's help." I cross my arms, as I look at both of them.

"That's a good one."

Suddenly Jade opens the door. Her face is a mix of anger and frustration, so I guess nothing good is about to come.

"I'm sorry, Ms. Thirwall but I can't help you. We accidently made a double appointment. When do you and your friends have time to make a new one?" Jade says in a high pitch, annoying voice. "I mean come on! I got out of bed for this."

Jesy and Perrie both agree on that and I just mumble. Why am I still so annoyed? What is the reason behind this little feeling in my heart which says Jesy did something to me? I barely know this girl!

Perrie's POV

Fortunately, I really love Jade and Jesy and I can't wait to record a song with them. It feels like I've known them for years, I feel so comfortable around them. Almost too comfortable, usually I'm kinda shy around strangers, but now that's different.

Inside my heart, it's screaming these girls aren't just strangers but, my brain says 'Stop overthinking, you just really like them'. I genuinely want to believe the last one, but for some odd reason, I don't think that's the truth.

I'm completely sunk in my thoughts as I hear a phone buzzing. Jade jumps out of her chair and searches for her bag, but she can't find it of course.

"Oh dear lord no, where did I leave it? I still had it 5 minutes ago! I really can't use this, I think it's Sam and we got into a huge fight, and I want to work things out and I think that's why he calling. But if I ignore him he'll think I'm still mad at him and-"

"You don't need to explain yourself, we'll help." Jesy interrupts her.

Within ten seconds, the four of us are searching for Jade's phone. We checked everywhere it normally would have been but since we didn't find it, we searched at places where it was unlikely to be. Like desk drawers and cabinets.

I kneel and open a little cabinet. While my hand goes through the mess in there, I accidentally knock my fist against it and I hurt my knuckles.

Shit, that's gonna bruise.

Wait, hold on? I punched a hole in it?

I brushed my fingers over the curves and realized how thin it was. Paperthin fake wood. It's covering half of the inside of the cabinet but most importantly; why was it there?

I hesitated a little about taking action, but did it anyway. I stuck my hand into the small hole and felt for anything there might be in there. My hand brushed against a smooth surface. I think it felt like a picture. When I carefully slid my hand out of the hole, I realized it was a picture indeed.

A black picture.

With a white heart on it.

And inside the heart is written LM.

My heartbeat quickens and my breathing becomes heavier.

Why?

I bring the picture closer, to look at it better, but I can't come to a conclusion.

"Perrie, why are you still searching?" Leigh asks, "She already found her phone."

I swiftly put the picture in my pocket and walk back to the girls. "Hey, Leigh. Can I talk to you for a second?"

"Sure, let's use the studio."

Leigh took my hand and directed me to the studio room although I've been here a million times. She closes the door and stands in front of me, with a questioning look on her face. I reached for the picture in my pocket and soon enough, hand it over to her.

Leigh-Anne's eyes widened. She swallowed heavily and shook her head. "So, a picture?"

"It freaked me out, Leigh! And it looks so familiar, but l feel like crying because I don't know from where."

"It does look strangely familiar, but maybe it's just a logo from a company."

"Who would hide some random company's logo in a hidden cabinet." I almost feel like pulling my hair out of frustration.

Leigh seemed taken aback and looked at the picture once more. "It's probably some new project that management has been working on and no one was supposed to know. You know how sneaky and weird those people are."

I shrugged it off, as Leigh-Anne handed me the picture back. I put it back in my pocket and motioned for us to leave by opening the door.
