Leigh's POV
Jade, where are you?
Please answer me, where are you?
Please text me back, Jadie
Perrie and I sent her countless texts. Jesy was driving. We were worried that Jade was maybe wandering alone on the streets. It was dark and she gets scared easily.
"Is she still not answering?" Jesy asks, keeping her eyes focused on the road. Perrie's fingers didn't stop typing. "No, not yet." Perrie answers in a raspy voice. This situation is hard for all of us. Are we the reason Jade's gone? Did we upset her that much? I feel so bad ... and scared. I need for her to be okay.
Perrie's phone beeps and everyone turns silent. She looks at the screen, her eyes widening. "It's a text from Jade."
And still, no one says a word.
"11 Village, Road New Mills, Cirencester, Glos GL7 1DG" Perrie read the text.
"That's Jade's brother's old apartment adress. He gave her the apartment after he got married and moved out. She barely uses it."
Jesy turns the car around and rides into a more lighted street. "We're close to it."
After a comfortable silence during the rest of the car ride, Jesy parked the car in front of a big apartment building. I pressed the intercom with the name Karl Thirlwall written above it, assuming that was Jade's brother. "Jadey, please let us in," I say, feeling tired. She didn't say anything as a buzz signaled that the door opened.
Jesy pushed open the doors in a hurry and we all ran to the elevator. I pushed the number for the 8th floor and the doors immediately closed.
Wait,
How did I know it was on the eighth floor?
None of the other girls seemed to notice so I let it go. She probably mentioned it. Yeah, that's probably it.
When the elevator doors opened again, Perrie and I followed Jesy to the second door on the left. Loud sounds were coming from inside the apartment. We looked at each other at the same time before opening the door.
When we got a sight of what was happening, I felt relieved and worried at the same time. We found Jade sitting on the ground, looking through a big box off stuff, surrounded by uncountable other boxes, most of them emptied with the stuff on the ground.
It was one big mess.
"Jade, honey." Jesy walked to Jade and sat next to her. "What are you doing?" she said while me and Perrie copied her actions.
Jade didn't answer. She didn't even look up or notice our presence, all she was focused on was something that was hidden in that box.
The three of us glanced at each other, knowing exactly what the other was thinking. Give Jade some time.
Who knows what she was looking for but we did know that we should give her some space and time right now. I'm just glad she's okay, that's all I care about.
The clock ticked, making me nervous every second.
"Jade, listen. We didn't mean to -" I began talking before she interrupted me, shouting "Yes!"
Her eyes were wide, full of anticipation as she held a small safe in her hands. The safe wasn't locked so Jade opened it right away. She took out a small book. A small notebook.
"Jadey, what's that?" Perrie asked, laying a hand on Jade's shoulder. "Evidence," Jade said, opening the book mid-through. She showed us a page with huge scribble that said THE LITTLE MIX TOUR. "This was when we went on our first tour. The DNA tour."
