This chapter is dedicated to Fabienne because without you I would never be able to do this. You keep pushing me and making me believe that I can write and I am so grateful for that. You're the sweetest and most considerate girl ever. I cannot imagine sharing this story with anyone but you. Writing with you is the best thing in the world. This is not your story and this is not my story. This is our story and I love you so much.

Perrie's POV

The wind was cold.

I shivered hard. Although I had a feeling it's not because of the cold. Leigh obviously noticed and gave me her jacket since she was wearing a sweater. I thanked her and we continued walking up to the door. Jade didn't hesitate and rang the doorbell.

There was some shuffling on the other side of the door. My heart was pounding hard. My arms and legs were shaking. The door opened and I exhaled a breath I didn't knew I was holding. Oh thank God, it was just Liam from One Direction.

Wait,

What

It was Liam from One Direction?

Oh yeah, no big deal. Just Liam from One Direction.

Liam from One fucking Direction.

"Jade is that you? What are you doing here?" Liam looks confused but pleased to see Jade. Wait, Jade knows Liam from One Direction.

"Yes, it's me. It's good to see you. We should talk some other time because we were actually looking for Tulisa."

Liam laughed thinking we were joking but then he turned serious when he saw our expressions. "You're not joking? You're actually looking for Tulisa Contostavlos? Here?"

"Why? Is there a problem?" Jesy says, getting an attitude. She was getting impatient, I could see it.

"No, it's just that she moved out three years ago. I think it was after The X Factor in 2011."

Leigh, Jesy, Jade and I all look at each other. That was the date we were supposed to win The X Factor.

"Do you know where she is now?" Jade looks at Liam with pleading eyes. "I'm sorry, Jade. I really don't. I haven't heard of her name after her group N-Dubz broke up. Well, until now." Liam says apologetically to Jade and looks at all of us.

"Do you have any clue of where we could find her?" Leigh leans against the wall. By now, we were standing in his hallway of Tulis- Liam's home. I wonder if he lives with someone. A family member, a girlfriend, a fiancé, a band member, Zayn Malik ...

Rewind the filmroll and stop the backgroud music.

God, why am I thinking of him again?

I was happy knowing that I wasn't engaged to Zayn. Not that I really care about him or was even thinking of being with him. It's just shocking.

Imagine if someone out of the blue told you you were engaged to Zayn Malik.

Never mind, I don't think you would mind that.

"I'm honestly sorry, I don't know anything. I've never even spoken to her." Liam crosses his arms and suddenly a frown appears on his face. "But ..." He continues.

"But?" Leigh says impatiently.

"There is this one thing. When we were in the studio, recording some songs, one of the people asked me if I would mind getting a folder out of their office. They have a huge cabinet filled with files that have the names of their artists on it." Liam adverts his gaze from Jesy, to Leigh, to me and finally to Jade.

"When I was searching for the folder with 'One Direction' on it, I saw one with Tulisa's name. Even though her group broke up, I think she's still signed to her record label and still records songs in that studio."

My eyes widened and so did all the girls'. "If it really helps out, I can steal the folder, copy it for you guys and put it back."

We all nearly jump and Jade looks at Liam with pleading eyes. "Yes, yes, yes, please."

"Besides, I still owe you a favor after the one time I broke my mother's phone during your twelfth birthday party and you covered for me ... You literally saved my life."

Jade laughs and shruggs it away. "I know how much she loved that ugly phone." Liam laughs at her words.

"Thank you for this, though."

"I'm glad to help. It's still vague to me to why you want to know about Tulisa."

"We just need to ask her a few things. That's all." Jade smiles at him. It was obvious they had a familiar easygoing connection between them. They were, after all, childhood friends. It was like they were family.

"If that's all. And it was good to meet you girls even though we weren't really introduced."

I chuckled as we introduced ourselves. When he looked at me, his gaze turned uncertain and confused. "I don't know why but it feel like I know you ... from somewhere or someone."

That's because I was engaged to your best friend but of course you don't remember that, I don't even remember that.

"Maybe we saw each other at Millie's Coffe Shop. I go there almost every morning."

Liam's confusion clears up as he nods but there's still a hint of uncertainity. "It's my favourite place to get coffee too. There's a big possibility that that's the reason." He smiles at me which I return, nodding.

"It was good seeing you again, Liam." Jade smiles and hugs him. "You too. I'll call you when I have the data ... Why did that sound like we were agents on a top secret mission?" Jade laughs at him and lets go.

We exchange goodbyes and get outside. Once we were in the car again, there was a small but comfortable silence. Each one of us wrapped up in our own thoughts. Although the only thing going on in my thoughts was this. So not much.

A faint smile appears on Jade's lips as she turns to all of us. "We are going to have to wait but at least we've got a clue."

"We're going to figure this out." Leigh-Anne says to Jade but indirects it to all of us. We hug very uncomfortably in the small space we have as we laugh at our ridiculous ways and let go.

Now let's hope there is something useful in that folder.
