Alex's POV
"What do you think they're doing?"
"Drugs, Alex they're probably getting high!" Ashlyn told me sarcastically, because she was tired of me worrying.
"Ash not funny, I'm just-"
"Way TOO paranoid, yea I know, Alex, he looked like a good kid, just look at his eyes and forget that he's dating Brooklyn, look at it this way, would you be this paranoid if she was still dating Mallory and he was just a friend?"
"Well no."
"Exactly, he's- you know what I don't care." Ash got up and went into the bathroom.
"I agree with you, but I don't know maybe she's right, I don't think he's a threat, yet." I laughed at Christen's comment and looked at my phone. I was scrolling through Instagram.
I stopped at Brooklyn's post. It was her and Joey. She came and saw us, but she's gonna post a picture of Joey?! I'm just jealous.

"Hey you." I hugged Brooklyn as Alex, Brooklyn, and Joey walked up. "Hey how long are you here for?"
"Three days-"
"You should come stay with me!" I told her, I didn't know she was staying that long!
"Are you sure, oh Alex has to come too, I guess I'll stay in the hotel tonight, then for the rest of the trip I'll come stay with you. Thanks Alex."
"Yea, no problem, means more time I get to spend with you." She smiled at me and I pulled her in for a tight hug.
We got seated and it went Steph, Brooklyn, me, Christen, Joey on one side and Julie, Ali, Ashlyn, Alyssa, and Casey on the other. Brooklyn and Steph talked for a long time, then she turned to me.
"Hey, I never really asked you, how have you been holding up, like Julie and Chris seem fine, but you and Tobin, was the split tough?"
"Umm, yea, but I think she's not that mad anymore, I don't know, she's umm, she took it hard-"
"Alex are you good though, I'm talking about you."
"Yea, I'm good, so umm wanna talk about what happened between you and Mallory?"
"No, I don't really want to."
"Okay, but maybe later, alright?"
"Yea, later." I laid my head on her shoulder and she wrapped her arm around me, I missed these kind of things when I wasn't with the national team. I shifted my eyes over to Christen talking to Joey and Casey, they were all laughing which is a good thing I guess.
"I'm gonna run to the bathroom, I'll be right back." I got up and got out of the booth. "Do you want one of us to comeback with you?" Steph asked, but I shook my head.
I walked through the restaurant and entered the bathroom. I quickly went into a state of utter shock as I saw who was in there.
"S-s-"
"Breathe... ummm what are you doing in Florida?" She pulled me into a hug, because she could tell that's what I needed. Like I told Alex she could read me like others couldn't.
"Sam, I'm so happy to see you." I whispered into her neck as she slowly pulled back a little.
"I'm happy to see you too."
I just kept my face in the crook of her neck, but she seemed to look at the door. I raised my head and it was closing, but no one was there.
