"I hate you, you hate me, let's go erase homework from historyyyyy." you sing to the tune of the 'I Love You' song from Barney. Guess what your night was filled with? That's right! Homework...the cursed papers that sucked every bit of free time you could have away from you and filling that lost free time with headaches and coffee.

There's no time to be out shopping, or to be with friends, or even to be with your boyfriend that lived with you! Sure, Shawn wanted you to take a break and relax for a day, but you didn't see how you could. With finals coming up along with your current papers due it was to much to take a break.

You sighed and pushed back from your desk for a minute, rubbing your eyes. "Who created this torture?!" you groan, moving back to your computer again. You minimize Word and open a new tab for the internet and open Spotify. You go to a classical music station and click play. "Classical music is supposed to help with studying, right?" You mutter, taking a sip of water. You let the music play for a few seconds before opening up the essay you were working on.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Shawn was leaning against the counter in the kitchen, eating a sandwich. He didn't know when the last time you actually ate a solid meal was. You only came to the kitchen occasionally to grab a banana or something else small before running back to the bedroom you both shared in your small apartment.

He heard classical music coming from the room upstairs and sighed, checking his phone for the time.

'I'll give it one more hour. Then she's taking a break whether she wants to or not.' he thought to himself, going to sit on the sofa in the living room. He opened up Twitter to look at his mentions and see what his friends were talking about on social media.

Well, an hour later, you were both in the same position. You were starting to get more and more stressed, now working on studying for your math exam in a few days, and Shawn was now pacing outside the bedroom door, trying to think of the best way to get you away from that computer. Attempts in the past hadn't worked out, and he's tried just about everything he could with you. He's tried taking your computer away, offering your favorite snacks, and even tried to get your best friends to come over. Nothing had worked yet. But, desperate times calls for desperate measures.

Shawn knew that trying to pry you away had risks in you losing it and taking out all your stress on him. But it was worth the risk. He HAD to get you away. Not just for you, but for him too.

He took a deep breath and knocked on the door. Not that you'd answer, but he just wanted to give you a heads up that he was entering. He walked in and his frown deepened when he saw the state you were in.

Your hair was a mess, obviously not brushed in several days. You were still in your pajamas at 5 pm. It broke his heart to see you like this. He walked over to you, hugging you from behind to see what you were working on this time.

The math book was open in front of you, several papers scattered along your desk filled with notes, pencils and pencil shavings all over. You head was running through your hair in a way to try keeping your stress at bay.

"Shawn I'm not stopping. I'm almost done..." you muttered, shrugging his arm to try getting it off. He simply tightened his arms and put a hand on your hand that was writing.

"(Y/N)? When's the last time you ate an actual meal?" he asked softly in your ear.

"Um..." When was the last time you ate something other than fruit or snacks??

"That's what I thought." He kissed your cheek softly, and pulled your chair away from your desk.

"SHAWN STOP!" You said louder than you meant, sounding more like you were yelling at him. "I'm almost done Shawn please just 15 more minutes!"

He smirked and walked to your desk, turning off the light and closing the computer with your online class schedule open on it. He turned back and saw the angry look on your face.

"I was almost done. Please move and let me finish." you growl, standing up with your arms crossed. He stood his ground and watched you.

   "I don't think so, (Y/N)."

You walked up to him to push him aside, but he knew you'd try that. He caught you in his arms in a tight embrace and picked you up over his shoulder.

"Shawwwwwwnnnnnn." you whined, patting his back to trying getting him to put you down.

He ignored you, and carried you downstairs, grabbing the remote from the coffee table and sitting on the sofa with you. While he was adjusting to be comfortable and turning on Netflix, you jumped up to try getting back to your work. Of course, Shawn knew you'd try this and grabbed you around the waist, pulling you down between his legs so your back was to him.

"You thought you could escape relaxing with me (Y/N)?" he chuckled and helped you get comfortable in front of him, turning your favorite movie on. "You and I are going to relax right now. You need a break. I know after these tests you'll be done with college, but I've missed you." He nuzzled his face into your neck, pulling you closer.

At this, you felt yourself relax ever so slightly, sighing softly. He smiled at this, his hands moving to your shoulders and starting to give you a massage.

A small groan passed through your lips, the tension finally starting to release.

"Geez (Y/N). Never again are you sitting and working for that long again. Your back is like a rock with all the tension." Shawn said, digging his palms into your back more.

"Thank you Shawn..." you mutter, your eyes drooping. He smiled when he saw you almost asleep, stilling his hands and pulling you close to him. He kissed your forehead gently, resting his head on your shoulder from behind.

"Go to sleep, love. You need it."

Those were the final words you heard before you fell into a deep, dreamless sleep.
