You were excited with a hint of nervousness mixed in. You and Richie were going to watch a movie at the cinema later today. He said the movie you were seeing was a surprise. You asked if it was a horror movie in a suspicious voice. All he responded with was a high-pitched "Mayybee!"
You tugged your finger nervously as you and Richie walked to the cinema. He and you approached the front desk. "Two tickets for V for Vendetta," he said. You raised your eyebrow from behind. You'd never heard of that movie. Was it good? Was it depressing? Was it scary? You said nothing and walked into the theatre with Richie.
"He said it was screening room 8, I'm not seeing it," he said. "Richie, it's over there," you pointed down the hallway. In yellow lights, said "Theatre 8". Below it said "V for Vendetta." He practically dragged you into the screening room, a big grin on his face. You were stumbling, trying not to spill your drink. You both stood on the stairs searching for seats. Not seeing any, you gave each other skeptical looks. Scanning a second time, you found two seats in the middle. He turned and looked at you.
"How?" he mouthed, hence not seeing them before. You shrugged your shoulders and took your seats anyways. You were enjoying the movie so far, although there was a lot of blood. The knife suddenly going through the officer's head drastically startled you, "How did that even scare me?" you whispered to yourself. Richie would glance at you every once a while, smiling when you weren't looking.
You were pissed by the end of the movie. Richie couldn't exactly figure out why but tried making you feel better anyway. "He deserved so much better!" you shouted when the credits came on. "I know, I know. She deserved better too," he said with a hand on your shoulder. He didn't like seeing you upset, in fact, he hated it. Once you had left the cinema, both of you found it nice to just mindlessly wander around town. You weren't saying much, just looking at the scenery as you walked.
About to go in another direction, Richie questioned why you were heading towards the florist. He slowly followed behind. You stopped at the stand outside the shop, a cool breeze blowing. Quickly looking to make sure no one was watching, you plucked a rose from the bouquet and quickly continued walking. Richie scoffed, a look of surprise on his face as if to say "no way". He ran to catch up with you.
"So, the good girl has a bad side," he said sarcastically. "Don't use sarcasm with me, young man," you said in an equally sarcastic tone, a small grin on your face. You plucked the full rose off the stem when he wasn't looking. "Well you are-" you cut him off by putting the rose in his mouth. He honestly looked hilarious. He plucked the rose from his mouth and slowly looked at you. You doubled over laughing at the 100% done look on his face. He pursed his lips and slightly smiled. "That's gonna get ya kissed."
