Richie was internally screaming.

He'd left Eddie at the dentist so he could get his wisdom teeth removed. He just kind of left him without a goodbye or anything. I probably should've considered how nervous he'd be by himself. He leaned his head back further into the car seat. Only a few more minutes to the office, and he'd have his Eddie Spaghetti back.

He smiled to himself as he entered the lobby, knowing he'd still be under the anesthetic and some brand new painkillers. Telling the receptionist he was there to pick up a Eddie Kaspbrak, he signed a few documents. He suddenly heard a ruckus in the hallway.

Oh no.

The next thing he saw was Eddie bursting through the door, a medical assistant behind him. Getting stares from other patients, he ran towards Richie.

"Stan, you won't believe what happened!" Richie snorted. The assistant told him he was free to go.  Richie nodded and led Eddie out of the building and to his car.

On the way to Richie's house so Eddie could get some sleep, Eddie started talking up a storm. He still had cotton in his mouth and his voice was slurred so he sounded hilarious.

"Hey, Stan?" Richie sighed, "Yes Eddie?" he asked patiently. "Can you keep a secret?" He said leaning on the driver's seat, his lips into a pout. "Of course," he said, glancing in the rearview mirror every once in a while.

"I think I'm like totally in love with Richie," he said dreamily.

And that was the day Richie choked on nonexistent water.

"I love his smile, and his laughter, and his stupid jokes and-and" he was waving his hands around, "just everything!" he huffed, collapsing into the backseat.

"Yeah. We're gonna get married at the chapel. And we're gonna be the cutest couple ever!"

Richie was trying not to pass out as he thought about what he said. He went ahead and assumed it was just the painkillers talking.

Once he reached his house, he helped Eddie change into some comfier clothes and put him to bed. He fell asleep almost instantly.

As Richie watched him sleep, he chuckled.

He was certainly in for a story when he woke up.

Sorry for the short story, I haven't updated in a while and I really wanted to.
