I visited Eddie again, like I did every week. I had a smile on my face and a spring in my step. I was happy to visit my boyfriend again.
"Hey Eds, I missed you." No response, as usual. He hasn't spoken a word to anyone in years.
I let out a sob as tears ran down my face. They were painful tears that stung my eyes and left a burning in the back of my throat.
"We all miss you."
I placed a bouquet of while flowers in front of the slab of stained stone with "Eddie Kaspbrak" engraved into it.
If only I'd listened to him and didn't keep driving like a maniac.
