Chapter 35 Ultimate Power

Loki's POV

We reach Thanos's domain called Sanctuary. My father and brother walk beside me as the army follows behind as we cross the land to Thanos throne. This place is still so dark, like I remember. And there's no sign of Scarlett anywhere. If he has hurt her... oh I shouldn't have left her alone.

We come to a big clearing where Thanos sits on his throne with his army behind him. We stop with a massive gap between us.

"Release her now Thanos and we can spare the bloodshed."

He chuckles, "Do you remember the last time you were here Loki? I had you tortured and made into my puppet."

My eyes widen as I realize what he has done to her. And my blood begins to boil. That bastard.

"But she saved you from me." He continues, "Let's see if you can do the same for her."

Then my love appears. She steps away from Thanos army. Her eyes are glowing blue and she has a Chitauri blade in hand. He has made her his new puppet; just like I was.

My father then yells, "Attack now!!!!" Then the armies go into battle.

She storms towards me and knocks me to one side, away from the battle. She keeps trying to kill me but I constantly stop all her attacks.

"Scarlett stop; you don't want to do this." I yell to her but she isn't listening as she keeps attacking me with the blade.

I barely able to protect myself as she begins using her magic against me. I block all her attacks but I don't fight back, I can't hurt her. I need to find a way to talk to her so she can break free like she did with me when I was being controlled by Thanos and Malekith. It's my only chance and hers.

I push her away from me and drop to my knees, tossing my sword to one side. She stops and looks at me confused, like she expects me to keep on fighting. The armies slowly stop fighting and turn to watch us. I can see my father and Thor watching us as they come out of the crowd.

"What are you doing?" She asks, her voice deeper and darker.

"I am not going to fight you Scarlett. I would rather die here now then having to watch you be controlled by him."

Thor yells, "Brother what are you doing!!!!"

"Shut up Thor!!!!! I know what I am doing!!!!!"

He stays silent.

I look back up at her as I begin to say what could be my last words, "So Scarlett, my love. If you really want to kill me so much, then do it. But the Scarlett I know wouldn't be able to do it even if she is under a spell. Go on Scarlett, kill me. But I don't believe you can."

She raises her sword and she is about to stab me and I prepare myself for the pain. But it doesn't come. The sword has stopped an inch away from my chest. Her arms are shaking and she drops the sword.

Thanos yells at her, "Kill him now Scarlett!!!"

I smile as I stand up and her eyes turn back green. She steps towards me as our eyes meet.

Scarlett's POV

He snapped me out of it, thank god. I didn't want him to get hurt by me. My eyes meet his and I smile.

"How did you know I was not going to be able to kill you?"

He smirks, "I didn't."

I lean in and kiss him before turning to Thanos.

"It seems she is a lot stronger than I thought. But she will still die. Kill her."

The Chitauri begin to run at me and I chuckle. My hands flow with powers that I never realised I could have. I blast them away from me and they all die, burning into a pile of ashes. The rest of the Chitauri step back as I look at Thanos with my eyebrows raises. He looks at me in shock and even Odin and Thor look startled. Only Loki smiles.

"Thanks for your help Thanos, I managed to unlock all my magic that I can now use against you." I say with an evil smile on my face.

Loki takes my hand after reading my mind, "Your idea is probably going to get us killed."

I smile, "Possibly."

Using our magic, we send a wave of powerful magic towards Thanos and his army. My ultimate power. I barely see them as they are blasted across the realm before we both black out.

Loki's POV

"Brother!! Wake up!!"

I grumble as I open my eyes, "Please stop yelling in my ears Thor, I'm ok."

Thor helps me sit up as I turn to see Scarlett beside me. I check her pulse and I sign in relief, she's ok, just unconscious. I stand up before carefully picking her up bridal style.

"Is she ok?" Thor asks me.

I sign, "I don't know. The magic affected her more than me and I'm not sure what damage it has caused."

"She will be alright." Odin speaks up as he reaches us.

"Father?"

He then explains, "She unlocked all her magic, because of the spell Thanos put on her, and used it all at once. A magic release of that magnitude would have killed her, she's only alive because she shared her magic with you son."

I look down at Scarlet as I tuck her fringe behind her ear, "Will she wake up?"

"Yes, she will but it could be days before she wakes up."

Scarlett's POV

I wake up to the sound of voices in the distance. My eyes flutter open and I'm in our bedroom, tucked in bed. What happened? Then everything flashes before my eyes... Thanos he took me and I nearly killed Loki. Then I unlocked my magic and I must have passed out.

I wonder how long I have been a sleep for?

Realising the voices are coming from the balcony, I scramble out of bed and I realise I'm wearing a night gown. Loki must have changed me. Thank god, the dark look doesn't suit me. I look to see Loki and Thor leaning on the balcony.

Loki signs, "She still hasn't woken up."

"She will be alright brother. you need to get some rest and have some food. You will feel much better."

He shakes his head, "I won't leave her side."

"So, if I come with you, will you eat something and get some rest?" I ask.

They both turn around to face me and I smile as Loki pulls me into his arms.

"I love you."

He kisses me on the lips, "I love you too."
