Chapter 54 Royal Coronation

I take a breath before entering the throne room, Loki beside me and he is dressed up like I am. As we stroll inside, both sides of the aisle have many friendly faces smiling at us as we walk towards the thrones. Thor stands at the top waiting for us with the crowns being held by servants. Its our coronation, the day we will become King and Queen of Asgard. I cant even tell whose more nervous, me or Loki.

We reach Thor and knee before him and it falls silent.

Thor speaks up, addressing us and the people of Asgard, "People of Asgard, the past few days have been hard for us all. We lost our father the king and our mother the Queen. Our evil sister perished thanks to Scarlet, who has prevented Ragnorak."

Everyone claps including Loki and I smile, feeling my cheeks go red.

Thor then continues as the crowns are brought forward, "We lost the King and Queen, so we need new rulers of Asgard. So, its only fitting, that my brother Prince Loki and Princess Scarlett become the new rulers of Asgard."

Thor then address us, "Do you accept the responsibility to look after Asgard and its people?"

We both say, "I do."

"Do you accept the power you shall obtain with this honour?"

We nod, "I do."

"Do you accept not only Asgard as your home, but to join the royal family of Asgard? To forever protect it for as long as you live."

"I do." We both say, knowing what will happen next.

Thor smiles as he picks up Lokis crown, "Then I now announce you Prince Loki, god of mischief and my brother, the King of Asgard." He places the crown on his head and I swear I see a tear brimming in his eye.

Thor then picks up my crown, "Princess Scarlett, God of Survival and Saviour of Asgard, I announce you the Queen of Asgard." He places the crowd on my head.

We both stand up as we go up to the thrones before sitting down. Everyone begins to praise us cheering our names and I haven't seen Loki so happy. We both are. The celebration begins and all the people of Asgard are celebrating with us. To freedom and the end of the pain of three days. But also, the beginning of a new age.

Everyone begins dancing and we join in.

Loki holds me tightly, not letting me go, "I wish mother and father could see us now

"I know but I'm sure they are watching over us."

He spins me around as we continue to dance and then we feast with our friends. Its late when people begin to return home and i know Bruce isn't staying so I go and find him.

He smiles at me and hug me, "Sorry I can't stay."

"Its fine, I'm just glad you were here to celebrate with us. Everyone on earth is going to be thrilled to see you."

"Well hopefully nothing too bad has happened while I was gone." He says and then he adds, "I heard about the infinity war, your future. All these prophecies."

I nod, "Yeah I'm the famous infinity who saves the world. Its daunting but with Ragnorak prevented, who knows when the infinity war starts."

"Thanos? The one who tried to kill you and made Loki attack Midgard, Will he start it?"

"Unfortunately, yes, I'm sure he will be the start. If anything happens on earth, if Thanos comes after the stones, don't hesitate to come here. We should stand reunited against him."

He forces a smile, "Sure, I better get going but stay safe."

"I will try to be. Say hello to everyone for me."

He then bows to me, "Goodbye Queen Scarlett."

I roll my eyes, "Just Scarlett Bruce."

He chuckles before he goes out the palace doors and is escorted back to the Bifrost. Then I feel arms wrap around me and I know its Loki. He kisses me on the forehead and I know he heard everything I said.

"Are you alright my king?" I ask.

He chuckles, "God that sounds so strange to hear that."

"Yeah but you were always a king to me."

I kiss him on the lips before going with him to our chambers. We go inside and I'm glad he is back with me. But the infinity war with be approaching soon and Thanos will attack. Just like I saw when I went to the future.

Loki kisses me on the lips, pulling me out my thoughts, "Are you ok?"

"I'm alright, I just fear what the future has in store for us."

He puts an arm around me, "We will worry about it tomorrow, tonight lets just be glad we are together again."

We kiss before he pulls me over to the bed and we get lost within each other but in my head, I have a nagging feeling. That this moment of peace won't last long.
