Chapter 50 I'm No Leverage

Loki's POV

I never realised how much you need to know and learn to be King. But my father took me through it and is happy to help support me after I have become King but I will be fine. I can do this, I was born for this.

We came back to the party and Odin goes over to mother while I go over to Thor, taking and sipping another drink.

I can't seem to see Scarlett anywhere, or that prince. No, don't be paranoid, I'm sure she is fine.

Thor smiles at me, "Brother, how was it?"

"It was good and there is a lot that needs to be sorted but we can do it. Speaking of we, have you seen Scarlett? I can't see her anywhere."

He looks around and shrugs, "Not sure."

I focus on my magic as I try to sense her magic but I can't.

"Something is wrong."

Thor raises his eyebrows and that's when there is a crash. Everyone backs away from the main doors that have been slammed open. Seth's guards surround the room, knocking down our guards with ease as they drop one by one and don't get up.

What the hell is going?

Seth enters and smirks as he looks around the room before his eyes land on me. He comes towards us as I notice the guests are falling to there knees, one by one.

"What do you think you are doing Seth?" I ask.

He chuckles, "I'm taking over Asgard off course, did you really think I would sign that pathetic peace treaty?

My brother falls to his knees and I see everyone has as well, including my father and mother have collapsed to the floor. I make to step closer to him when I feel my legs give in but I mange to stay on my knees.

"What have you done to us?" I ask.

"I put a paralysing drug in your drinks, making you powerless. Not even your magic could hurt me."

I glare at him, "Yeah but paralysing drugs only last a few hours, it's not enough to bring Asgard to its knees."

He nods, "Oh I know. That's why I got some leverage first. I must say Loki, your wife is very beautiful."

My eyes widen as I feel my blood boil, "What have you done with her!!!! Where is she!!"

"Oh, she's paralysed just like you. Poor thing, she tried so hard to escape me. Now she can't move an inch as the water rises."

Suddenly I feel a jolt of magical energy that I recognise as Scarletts and then nothing. No, she can't be.

"What have you done with Scarlett? I thought you said she was your leverage!!"

He chuckles, "Yes she is. But I knew she is the reason this family was reunited in the first place. So you can bargain whether you can get her body back. Drowning is such a horrible way to die."

"She's not dead yet, I can still save her."

I try to get up but he kicks me back down to my knees and I lose feeling in my legs. He pulls out a blade and puts it to my throat.

"That's if you can save yourself."

Scarlett's POV

The water is freezing as it rises, my body is still unresponsive and I can barely lift my head. Surely I cannot die now, I must save Asgard and Loki. To think, I have all these stupid powers and I cannot use them. They must be stronger then the drug in my body.

The water reaches my neck and I focus on my powers. I cannot die, I refuse to die. Surely I can survive this. I must save....

I'm swallowed under the water and I begin to choke. Focusing on the magic, I feel it surge within me.

I'm not dying today!!!!

Suddenly, my magic smashes the tub and I tumble out, coughing and gasping for breath. I pull off the chains, regaining movement in all my body. My magic has destroyed the drug in my system.

I get to my feet as I magical dry my body and hair.

Loki. I need to stop Seth killing Loki and taking over Asgard. I run out of Seth's room as fast as my feet can take me and storm into the hall

The guests are collapsed on the floor with Odin And Frigga. Thor is just behind Loki, and then theirs Loki and Seth. Loki is on his knees and Seth has a sword at his neck.

"Step away from my husband Seth!!"

Everyone who can looks at me and Loki smiles, signing in relief while Seth just glares as he points his sword at me.

"What are you going to do? Try and stop me?" He chuckles, "You have nothing, you don't even have a sword."

I smirk, "I don't need one."

Using my magic, I thrust my hands forwards and he goes flying into the wall. Quickly, I do the same to his guards as he gets up.

"You were supposed to be...."

I interrupt, "Yeah, I know, you thought I was just the weak one who would be the best to use as 'leverage'. Surely you should have realised that I have magic."

He picks up his sword, "I can still destroy you."

"No, you really can't."

Using magic, I pick up a sword and it goes flying into my hand as I block off Seth who tries to stab me.

"How are you this powerful?"

I produce fire in my hands, "It's so nice to know that there are some people who don't know who I am."

Then I send him flying across the room and into the table.

Time to heal everyone.

I summon a wave of my magic and it leaves me, hitting everyone in the room. Seth slowly gets up as everyone else does. The guards pin down Seth's men and then they grab Seth. Handcuffing his hands behind his back. He struggles as I sign in relief, tossing the sword away.

I go up and stop in front of him, "Good try Prince Seth."

He glares at me as I say, "You should be sentenced to death for what you did today. But we wish only peace with you and your realm. We don't wish to start a war. You will be banished from Asgard and if you ever come back here again, you will sentenced to death immediately."

"You will pay, we will never sign your peace treaty."

I roll my eyes, "Don't you mean you will never sign your peace treaty? As you tried to kill me, you kept going on about your feeling not the feelings of your people. This way maybe we can achieve peace with Alfheim. Just not with you."

Loki appears at my side as Odin nods, "That is a fair judgement. Do as Lady Scarlett says." Seth is dragged away along with his guards as Odin turns to me, "You will make a great Queen, Scarlett. Today, you proved that."

He then goes over to Frigga as the guests are escorted out of the hall.

Loki puts an arm around me, "I'm so happy you are ok. How did you do that? Destroy the drug from in our systems?"

"I used my magic to make a wave of pure magic, pure energy which destroyed it. It's how I escaped my watery fate."

He kisses me on the lips before leading me out the room and back to ours.
