Chapter 48 Royal Annoucement

Scarlett's POV

I wake up the next day, in Loki's arms with my head buried in his chest. I smile, it feels great to be back in his arms again. But now, everything the Enchantress told me is beginning to sink. I'm going to be the saviour of Asgard. But what does that mean? Does that mean I save Asgard or is it just a title? But at least I know more about my powers now.

I look up to see Loki stirring and he opens his eyes, "Morning."

I smile, "Morning, did you sleep well?"

"Yes, much better. Especially now you are back with me, I thought I would never have you back after what that witch did."

I sit up, "What do you mean?"

He sits up beside me, "She used such a strong spell that it was impossible for you to regain your memories. It's why I almost didn't believe it when you came to me with Sif."

"I see."

"Scarlett, what did she want from you?" He asks.

I sign, "She wanted... she wanted to meet me." He raises his eyebrows and I explain, " She read all those prophecies and kept going on about my powers."

"Your powers?"

"Apparently, my powers come from the infinity stones and with those mixed with my own powers, I'm just going to get stronger. And become the Saviour of Asgard like it says in the prophecies and save Asgard from Ragnorak and the infinity wars." I sign, "And then she said she wanted you evil and at her side."

He nods, putting an arm around me, "Yeah, we used to get along. But I didn't study the dark magic like she did and she never talked to me after that." He kisses me on the cheek, "Don't worry about what she told you. Prophecies change all the time and even before, you were always my saviour."

"And you mine."

He kisses me on the lips, "Come on, we should tell my father and then we can do whatever we like."

"I would like that, just us."

He nods, "Just us."

We get up and get changed before going down to the throne room to find Odin. Going inside, Odin, Frigga and Thor are whispering something. But go quiet when they us.

"They are up to something."

He nods, taking my hand, "Let's find out what."

We go up to them and Frigga and Thor pull me into a hug. Before Odin greets us.

"How are you feeling Scarlett?" He asks me.

"Much better, with my memories back and all."

He nods, "Pleased to hear. Why did the enchantress take you may I ask?"

"She wanted to meet me, tell me that my powers originate from the infinity stones, about how I am called the saviour of Asgard in the prophecy which is why she wanted to meet me. But really, she wanted me out the way so she could turn Loki evil and make Asgard fall."

His eyes widen, "Is this true?"

Loki nods, "It explains how she managed to get her memories back, only magic as strong as the infinity stones could have broken that spell. And you know what she is like."

"Well, I'm pleased you are safe. Because I have an announcement to make."

Loki puts an around me as I see Thor and Frigga smiling their heads off, "What?"

He smiles as he looks at Loki and me, "I have chosen you my son and you Scarlett, to become the new King and Queen of Asgard."

My eyes widen, as my jaw drops, "What?"

I look at Loki to see he is gobsmacked, "But, I thought Thor was..."

Thor shakes his head, "No Loki, I don't want the throne. And you would make an excellent king."

"What do you think?" Odin asks.

I turn to Loki, "What do you think? I will be happy with whatever you chose."

"I don't know, I never thought I could be..."

Odin interrupts, "You showed real courage and bravery and no one in Asgard would disagree when I say you will protect Asgard with your life. Like you protect Scarlett."

"Loki, I think you should." I tell him.

"I don't know."

"You will become the best king in the world, it's what you always desired, you told me that when we first met."

He nods, "Yeah but the last time I became king I nearly destroyed Jotunheim."

"That was a long time ago, my love. You have changed. You have risked your life to protect Asgard to protect me. You can do this."

He smiles, "God, I love you."

"Oh, I know."

He kisses me, as we turn to Odin as he asks, "Is that a yes?"

"Yes father, I would love to be king as long as Scarlett is by my side."

Everyone cheers and we all hug.

"I'm going to become Queen, oh god."

He chuckles, "Yeah and me King."

"You will be great." I tell him and he says, "So will you."

Odin nods, "The ceremony will be next week. We have many parties all through the week to celebrate with many guests. Including, a prince from Alfheim. And after the incident with Thanos, we hope to make peace with them. The first party is tomorrow night."

"Thanks father." Loki then hugs him, "I hope to make you proud."

"You have already done that."

Odin, Frigga and Thor leave the hall, leaving me and Loki alone.

I turn to Loki as he says, "I'm going to be king.... I can't believe it. I haven't thought about being King in such a long time..."

"You will be fine, you have me by your side."

He kisses me, "My beautiful Queen."

"My handsome king."

Anonymous POV

"We shall arrive at Asgard before the party tomorrow."

I smirk, "Good, we need to make sure we play our part. Until I can get the leverage I need to overthrow the kingdom."

My servant, "Yes sir."
