Chapter 42 Travel to the future

Scarlett's POV

Despite what happened yesterday, Loki is still distant with me and I know their must be something else he isn't telling me. Maybe he secretly hates me for losing the baby and doesn't want to admit it. But he wants space so I will give him space. I just want us to return to normal.

I've gone into the gardens to get some air as I try to relax but all I can think about is Loki and will we ever get over it. Will be able to get through this?

"Scarlett? Are you alright?" I turn to see Lady Sif coming up to me, dressed in her armour.

She must have finished training.

She sits beside me on the bench as I say, "Me and Loki have grown distant... I hope we can get through this but he's pushing me away. He said give him some space but the more space I give, the more I feel like losing him."

She nods, "I see." Then she smiles, "I have an idea. Come with me?"

I stand up, "Where are we going?"

She takes my hand and leads me out the garden and into the palace, "When I felt lost and uncertain about my future, Frigga helped me and I believe she can do the same for you."

"Why did you feel like that?" I ask.

"I was uncertain whether I should stay a warrior and if my feeling for a certain god should be ignored or embraced."

I knew she had a crush on Thor but I wish she embraced it. I think they would make a good couple.

We reach Frigga's chambers and she knocks first.

"Enter."

We go inside and Frigga is on a sofa, combing her hair. She smile at us both as we approach her.

"How can I help you?"

Lady Sif speaks up, "My queen, Scarlett and Loki's relationship has become... distant and I was wandering if you can do for her what you did for me."

Her eyes widen, as she nods, "I see. Leave us Sif, we will do it straight away."

Sif smiles at us both as she bows before leaving her chambers.

"Come sit Scarlett, and I will explain what will happen next."

I sit opposite her as I ask, "What are we going to do? Sif didn't explain."

She nods, "Oh I know, because what I did for her is a secret. But one that I feel is right to share with you. I have the power to take you to your future so you can see what will happen to you and my son."

"Really?" I ask, shocked and amazed.

"Off course. But seeing the future is dangerous. Once you are taken their, you must find the golden ring of Asgard and that will take you home. While you are there, you will see the answers you seek. But you must not, whatever happens in the future try to change it. Because the future you see is one of multiple possible futures. So, you must not let it influence you in anyway."

I nod, "I understand."

Frigga holds out her hand, it's now glowing, "I must stress this Scarlett, that you must not interfere in future affairs. Only see your future and get out. Anything you do could cause world ending consequences."

"I won't interfere Frigga."

She smiles, "Then take my hand, and let my powers take you their."

I reach forward and take her hand and everything goes black.

Frigga's POV

The moment she touches my hand, she collapses and I lay her down on the sofa. She will be in her future now.
